The official Being Gathering 2017 movie!

From the 28th of June to the 2nd of July 2017, the second edition of the Being Gathering took place once more amidst the natural setting of the Boomland. The four days of program included a miryad of practices and activities where all participants were welcome to reconnect with themselves, those around them, and Mother Nature -- therapies, yoga, meditation, conferences, workshops, music, dance and concerts were just some of the many elements which constituted this celebration.

Ein guter Anfang -- sowas hätte ich mir damals gewünscht, zu meiner Schulzeit. Allerdings ist das immer noch viel zu wenig; und dass die Lernprogrammierumgebung Geräusche von sich gibt, wenn man etwas kompiliert oder Knöpfe drückt, ist ein weiteres Beispiel davon, dass Kinder von Erwachsenen nicht wirklich ernst genommen werden. Mir ging die kindische Aufmachung mit Bären und Robotern schon als Kind auf den Sack, und warum muss etwas lustig piepsen und sich animieren, obwohl es sonst keinen Zweck erfüllt? Weil die Erwachsenen meinen, etwas sei nur kindergerecht, wenn es so verniedlicht wird? Ich bitte euch. Eine weitere künstliche Grenze, die nicht sein müsste. Man kann etwas auch in kleinen Schritten lernen, ob als Kind oder Erwachsener. Bei Minecraft jubeln schliesslich auch keine Roboter und Barbies, wenn man zum ersten mal erfolgreich etwas automatisiert hat, und Minecraft spielen die Kinder gern. Zurecht hat jemand am Ende diese Verniedlichung in Frage gestellt, begleitet von zustimmendem Applaus.

Und dann diese Annahme -- „können die Kleinen das?“ UND OB. Was soll diese Frage?!? Aber natürlich können die das! Wenn man ihnen nur die Möglichkeit gibt. Woher kommt diese Annahme, dass Kinder etwas noch nicht können sollen oder sich nicht dafür interessieren würden? Erwachsene und ihre Kinderfilterblasenfantasiewelt. Die Ergebnisse des Bildungsexperiments überraschen mich nicht im geringsten: Kinder können programmieren und löten und sich dafür begeistern.

Sicherheitslücken wird es immer geben, weil eine Funktion immer ausgetrickst werden kann. Fallen für selbstfahrende Autos. Denial of Service im Kartenspiel UNO.

Soziale Gerechtigkeit

Die meisten Menschen werden durch das Würstchen des sozialen Status, das ständig vor ihrer Nase baumelt, gesteuert. Es existiert eine unsichtbare Hackordnung. Wer nicht das macht, was die Mehrheit macht, wer sich nicht anpasst und sich wie erwünscht verhält, wird zum Aussenseiter, zum einsamen Wolf. Die Schildbürger, Bünzlis und Stinknormalos haben jetzt einen neuen Namen: Neurotypisch. Die Verlogenheit von Verkäufern und Business. Die gleichgeschaltete Masse an Schafherdentieren, die alles verachtet und auf alles hetzt, was nicht wie sie ist. Kinder werden von Erwachsenen nicht wirklich ernstgenommen, und wer es dennoch tut, wird stigmatisiert und fortgeschickt. Ender Wiggin muss dringend über diese unerträgliche soziale Ungerechtigkeit sprechen.

Geschichten

Aber genug der düsteren Presse. Das Universum besteht aus Geschichten. Und es hat mir auch dieses Jahr wieder sehr schöne Geschichten beschert. Zum Beispiel am Vollbrand-Festival.

Meine Hauptgeschichte dieses Jahr ist aber das Being-Gathering. Es wundert mich ein wenig, dass das fast niemand gelesen hat. Zwei Klicks auf die Links bei Twitter und eine Handvoll Aufrufe bei Youtube. Für einen Aufwand von zwei Wochen. Das erinnert mich daran, dass ich in erster Linie ja für mich selber schreibe. Und für die Hoffnung, dass irgendjemand in der Zukunft das mal liest und Freude daran hat. Mir jedenfalls gefallen diese Heldenreisen ungemein, die mir das Boomland jedes Jahr beschert.
Es ist doch eine prima Weihnachtsgeschichte: Being Gathering 2017.

Und dann gibt es noch eine ganz besondere Geschichten- und Abenteuerzaubermaschine: Arma 3: Ein Sandkasten für erwachsene Kinder. Ich habe in diesem Jahr den Mehrspielermodus entdeckt und stiess auf eine Gemeinschaft voller kreativer, begeisterter Abenteurer und neue Freunde. Wir erschaffen unsere eigenen Geschichten mit dem Missionseditor und spielen dann ein wenig Militär und Theater und treffen Menschen aus aller Welt. Wundervoll!

Ich bücke mich und *Knack* – ein Stich im Rücken, und ich kann mich kaum mehr bewegen. Alles blockiert.

Was ist passiert? Zwei Tage lang bin ich für jeweils zwei Stunden an einem Verfolgerscheinwerfer gestanden. Die lange, ungewohnt stehende Haltung (normalerweise verbringe ich den Tag sitzend) ist sich die Wirbelsäule nicht gewohnt, und als sie sich nach so lange aufrecht stehen wieder biegt, zerbricht und verschmettert sie gleich in gefühlt tausend Teile, die Beckenmuskeln klammern sich ängstlich an sie und lassen nicht mehr los. Out of service für mehrere Tage; Nachbeben für mehrere Wochen.

Das war vor zwei Jahren.

Eine Ballettschule in Küsnacht. „Du machst das Licht, ich den Ton“, sagt David zu mir. Hui, abenteuerlich. Das verwendete Programm heisst ScanShow 5 und bisher habe ich jeweils nur auf die einzelnen Szenen geklickt, an einem Konzert einer Brassband. Da war alles vorbereitet. Doch jetzt -- bin ich selber verantwortlich für die Lichtstimmung, die Szenen und die Effekte; und das mit einer Software, die ich noch gar nicht kenne. Am Mittwoch war Hauptprobe, da definierten wir das Licht für die einzelnen Szenen. „Hier etwas rötlich, da ein ruhiges Blau.“ Hastig und in aller Eile habe ich die Szenen zusammengeklickt, für Effekte hats nicht mehr gereicht. David konnte mir nicht helfen, er war beschäftigt damit, das Brummen der Tonanlage im Saal zu beheben. Das Mischpult brachte keinen Ton heraus, die Ballettschüler bräuchten jetzt aber Musik für die Probe… Ein Mistpult. Zuhause habe ich mir dann für jede Musik die Lichtuntermalung überlegt und konnte Donnerstag und Freitag Nacht erst um 3 Uhr morgens einschlafen, weil ich so unter Strom stand.

Kürzlich stiess ich auf ein Urgestein aus meiner Jugendzeit: Charly 2000. „Das musst du dir anhören, der macht immer so Blondinenwitze und spielt geile Musik!“ hat mir damals ein Schulfreund ganz begeistert erzählt. Und wirklich: Ich lag im Bett neben dem Radiowecker und lauschte der Radiosendung, die immer Freitag Abend von 22:00 bis um 2 Uhr morgens die Nachtschwärmer begeisterte.
