Eine Ballettschule in Küsnacht. „Du machst das Licht, ich den Ton“, sagt David zu mir. Hui, abenteuerlich. Das verwendete Programm heisst ScanShow 5 und bisher habe ich jeweils nur auf die einzelnen Szenen geklickt, an einem Konzert einer Brassband. Da war alles vorbereitet. Doch jetzt -- bin ich selber verantwortlich für die Lichtstimmung, die Szenen und die Effekte; und das mit einer Software, die ich noch gar nicht kenne. Am Mittwoch war Hauptprobe, da definierten wir das Licht für die einzelnen Szenen. „Hier etwas rötlich, da ein ruhiges Blau.“ Hastig und in aller Eile habe ich die Szenen zusammengeklickt, für Effekte hats nicht mehr gereicht. David konnte mir nicht helfen, er war beschäftigt damit, das Brummen der Tonanlage im Saal zu beheben. Das Mischpult brachte keinen Ton heraus, die Ballettschüler bräuchten jetzt aber Musik für die Probe… Ein Mistpult. Zuhause habe ich mir dann für jede Musik die Lichtuntermalung überlegt und konnte Donnerstag und Freitag Nacht erst um 3 Uhr morgens einschlafen, weil ich so unter Strom stand.
Mit ScanShow kann man die Position der Scheinwerfer kalibrieren, und dann auf die Fläche klicken, und alle richten sich auf den gewünschten Punkt aus.
„Geil“, dachte ich mir, voller Vorfreude. Doch oh weh: Statt dass die Scheinwerfer am Samstag morgen auf den gewünschten Platz auf der Bühne zeigten, fuhren sie wild an der Decke entlang, und hopps -- plötzlich um 180° gedreht. Ich vermute Vorzeichen- und Berechnungsfehler -- meine Ideen lösten sich in Luft auf.
Es ist zum Glück doch noch alles gut gegangen, trotz der marodierenden Saalanlage und der Lichtsoftware mit ihren Macken. Ich habe mir ein paar Effekte auf die Tasten des Steuerpults gelegt und kann jetzt dynamisch die Musik untermalen und die Lichter im Rhythmus blinken lassen. Die Drehgeschwindigkeit variiere ich mit einem Fader. Die Öffnung des Lichtvorhangs, da noch Schneeflocken mit rotierenden Gobos und Prismen an der Decke für die Südpolszene; der Blitzschlag im schottischen Teil, der das Publikum blendet; und schliesslich das Grande Finale, wo alles blinken und sich bewegen soll.
