Ink ist ein von der unabhängigen und kleinen Filmproduktionsfirma Double Edge Films produzierter Film, für den Double Edge Films keinen Verleih finden konnte. Nach der Veröffentlichung verbreitete sich der Film aber rasend schnell per Filesharing, so wurde er z.B. per BitTorrent 400.000 mal in nur einer Woche heruntergeladen. Die Produzenten sprachen sich danach für die weitere Vebreitung per Filesharing aus. Dieses Beispiel zeigt also, dass Filesharing für Künstler sehr positiv sein kann. Natürlich müssen die Künstler trotzdem von irgendetwas leben (sie haben den Film komplett alleine vorfinanziert), weswegen Du durch den Kauf dieser DVD nicht nur das Filesharing, sondern auch die Künstler direkt unterstützen kannst.

Zum Inhalt des Films: Neben der bekannten Welt existiert noch eine weitere Ebene, in der zwei Kräfte um die Menschheit kämpfen. Die eine Seite übt dabei Macht auf die Menschen aus, indem sie ihnen Alpträume schickt und die andere Seite sorgt im Gegenzug für schöne Träume. Der Film entwickelt sich nun um die 8jährige Emma, die von einem Wesen aus der anderen Welt entführt wurde und in dieser Welt deswegen ins Koma fällt. Es entwickelt sich ein Kampf um Emma, der unter anderem Emmas arbeitssüchtigen Vater auch in dieser Welt beeinflusst.

Insgesamt überzeugt Ink durch eine durchdachte Geschichte mit besonderem Ende und trotz des geringen Budgets genialen visuellen Effekten. Es wurde von Kritikern u.a. mit Donnie Darko, Dark City und Pans Labyrinth verglichen.

Dieser Film tummelt seit einigen Wochen in meinem Bittorrent Incoming-Ordner. Gestern hab‘ ich mich dazu entschlossen, ihn zu schauen. Und WOW! Ein genialer Film! Eine düstere, ganz eigene, spezielle Atmosphäre; eine Geschichte, in der erst am Schluss die Geheimnisse gelüftet werden. Ausserdem sind ein paar kosmische Gesetzmässigkeiten sehr schön dargestellt, wie z.B. die Existenz von Parallelwelten, die Relativität von Raum und Zeit, der freie Wille…

Ein sehr schön gemachter independent Underground-Film. Unbedingt ansehen!

Zum Beispiel Exposé.

Leider hat es Apple im ohnehin schon verbuggten Snowleopard geschafft, dieses Feature ziemlich zu vermüllen. Hässliche blaue Rahmen um das aktive Fenster, alle Fenster sind gleich gross…

Es sieht vielleicht etwas aufgeräumter aus, wenn alle Fenster gleich gross dargestellt werden. Aber wenn man Notizzettel kennen und lieben gelernt hat – so wie ich:

Dann sieht Exposé unter Snowleopard so aus:

Aber es gibt da einen Trick.

Und es gibt die alte Dock.app, welche das Original Exposé enthält.

cd Downloads/
unzip ExposeDock.zip
sudo mv Dock.app /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app
sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/
sudo killall Dock
