Der indische Student Sainul Abideen hat eine Technologie entwickelt, mit der sich herkömmliches Papier als Speicherlösung für Hunderte Gigabyte an Daten verwenden lässt. Die bei einem Vortrag präsentierte Lösung greift dabei nicht auf das Speichern von Daten in binärem Code zurück, sondern wandelt diese in komplexe geometrische Formen und Abbildungen um. Mittels eines speziellen Druckers können die Daten in dieser Form komprimiert auf Papier oder ein anderes Material wie zum Beispiel Plastik gedruckt werden. Ein ebenfalls entwickelter Scanner liest die Vorlage aus und wandelt diese mithilfe der dazugehörigen Software wiederum in Daten um.
