Im Juli 2014 hatte ich meine Sony DSC RX100 abgeholt. Im 2017 Version 2, für den Kippbildschirm und den Mikrofonanschluss. Eigentlich hat mich das gleiche Kameramodell sechs Jahre lang auf unzähligen Festivals und Ereignissen begleitet. Das Gefühl, dass ich fotografisch mehr machen will, ist immer stärker geworden. Der verträumte Wald bei Nebel am Morgen; Langzeitaufnahmen bei Nacht, der Mond hinter der brennenden Rakete, Feuertänzer – seit dem letzten Feuerfestival hatte ich das Gefühl, dass ich die kleine Sonykamera nun wirklich ausgereizt habe. Ich habe mich sogar angefangen zu trauen, Menschen zu fotografieren, und mit Maximalzoom und dem Helligkeitsregler versucht, den Bildstil zu variieren. Doch der unverkennbare Sony-Look bleibt bestehen. Ich hab’s langsam gesehen, ich möchte Neues ausprobieren, mehr Möglichkeiten haben. Klar ist die klein, überall dabei und schnell Einsatzbereit, und das schätze ich auch sehr. Doch zum Gestalten mit Fotografie stosse ich damit an Grenzen.

Kann man Zeit messen? Zeit messen, mit etwas, das Zeit braucht?

Wenn wir die Zeit anhalten -- und dann weiterlaufen lassen -- wie lange haben wir sie angehalten?

Steini führt den Gedankengang weiter und landet schliesslich beim Bewusstsein.

Nach dem Joscha-Bach-ähnlichen Vortrag schart sich ein Grüppchen um Steini und wir diskutieren über Zeit, Relativität, Quanten, Träume und das Bewusstsein. Schliesslich setzen wir uns auf die Zentralsonne 36C3 in der Mitte des Kongressuniversums; umkreist von Silberasteroiden, die mit ihren Spiegeln und Prismen das Licht aufteilen, ablenken und reflektieren.

Der 36. Chaos Communication Congress hat das Motto „Resource exhaustion“. Und genau so fühle ich mich nach diesem Kongress. Erschöpft. Ausgelaugt. Müde.

Das war der anstrengendste Kongress überhaupt, wenn nicht sogar mein Schlechtester. Keine besonderen Highlights, überall läuft alles, aber hingezogen fühle ich mich zu nichts. Zu viele Menschen, aber zu wenig bekannte Gesichter. Die lieben Bekanntschaften vom vergangenen Camp sind nicht da. Joscha Bach ist nicht da. Das Boot von vor einem Jahr ist jetzt ein fahrendes Bällebad; aber zu einer stimmungsvollen Fahrt wie damals ist es nicht gekommen. Dieses Feuerwerk ist abgebrannt, auch wenn mich viele Installationen noch gerne daran erinnern.
