Benötigtes Material:

• Ein warmes Esszimmer und eine Fensterscheibe, die die Kälte draussen fernhält
• Kaffeemaschine
• Frühstückstisch
• Aufmerksame Eltern, die den Eisvogel bemerken
• Regal, auf dem man die Kamera bereitlegen kann

Zubereitung:

1. Die Kamera, die man sich gerade zu Weihnachten selber geschenkt hat, ausprobieren. Damit spielen und freudelen, und sie dann vor dem Frühstück in den Schnellschuss-Einstellungen auf dem Regal hinlegen.
2. Zmörgelen. Natürlich ausgeschlafen und erholt. Ein Kaffee hilft beim wach werden.
3. Warten, bis Mutti ruft: „Dr YYSVOOGEL!“
4. Zur bereitgelegten Olympus E-M5 stürmen, den Objektivdeckel entfernen und die Linse verdööplen, weil „fuck, der Objektivdeckel ist schon entfernt.“
5. In den Pro-Capture Modus wechseln und froh sein, dass man die wichtigsten Modi im Vornherein auf Schnellzugriffstasten gelegt hat.
6. Die Linse voll aufdrehen und den Eisvogel an der Kälte da draussen ganz nah heranholen und dabei grinsend hinter der Fensterscheibe im warmen Esszimmer stehen. Wie, früh aufstehen und stundenlang an der Kälte warten? Nöö.
7. Den Auslöser halb drücken – der Eisvogel wird fokussiert und die Kamera fängt an, 30 Fotos pro Sekunde zu schiessen.

Der Eisvogel tschillt auf dem Gartenhäusschendach vom Nachbarn.

Jetzt setzt er zum Sprung an, um den Fisch im Weiher zu greifen. Pro Capture hat das alles bereits erfasst.

Hier schaut er ein bisschen verdutzt…

…aber dieses Bild ist gut.

Ich bin schon auf 200mm (400mm Fullframe) Zoom. Das Bild noch etwas beschneiden:

Die Megapixel sind sowieso ausreichend. Die Bildgrösse von 1920×1280 ergibt mit 100% Zoom genau diesen Bildausschnitt.

Jetzt noch die Helligkeit nachregeln:

Gamma +30, Helligkeit +5.

Fertig!

8. Sich im Nachhinein nerven: „Hätt ich doch…“ …die Helligkeit am Fottiapparat noch ein bisschen dunkler gemacht, dann wäre der Vogel womöglich noch schärfer geworden. Die Verschlusszeit war auf 1/30 fixiert. Gut, so sind die ISO-Werte immerhin tief genug. Im Nachhinein fallen einem immer alle möglichen Dinge ein, die man hätte besser machen können.

Aber hey – diese Olympus-Kamera hat mich in der Hitze des Gefechts hervorragend unterstützt! Bereits jetzt hat sich der Umstieg gelohnt.
