Kinder werden von Erwachsenen nicht wirklich ernst genommen. Vielfach nutzen Politiker Begegnungen mit Kindern zur Selbstdarstellung. Im Zweifelsfall entscheiden sich die Erwachsenen, gerade auch die Politiker, nicht für die Kinderforderungen. Kinder werden von ihnen nicht als Subjekte mit tatsächlich gleichberechtigten Interessen wahrgenommen.

Alles hat mit einigen einfachen Fragen angefangen, z.B.: Dürfen Eltern Dich zwingen, Klamotten anzuziehen, die Du nicht willst? Wann wird ins Bett gegangen? Darf der Lehrer aufs Klo gehen verbieten? Insgesamt war schnell eine ganze „Fibel“ mit Problemen von jungen Menschen zusammengetragen. Das war 1992. Die Gruppe, die sich diese Arbeit gemacht hatte, gab sich den Namen KinderRÄchTsZÄnker, kurz K.R.Ä.T.Z.Ä. Seitdem gibt es im Verein Netzwerk Spiel/Kultur Prenzlauer Berg e.V. ein Projekt, in dem sich Jugendliche mit der Gleichberechtigung von Menschen unabhängig vom Alter beschäftigen. Und neben den alltäglichen Ungerechtigkeiten, denen junge Menschen häufig ausgesetzt sind, stießen sie beim Nachdenken schnell auf mehrere sehr allgemeine Punkte, die die ganze Gesellschaft betreffen: Woher nehmen Eltern das Recht, ihren Kindern Vorschriften zu machen? Ist die Schulpflicht sinnvoll oder sollte sie nicht besser durch ein Bildungsrecht ersetzt werden? Warum haben Kinder kein Wahlrecht?

Ich bücke mich und *Knack* – ein Stich im Rücken, und ich kann mich kaum mehr bewegen. Alles blockiert.

Was ist passiert? Zwei Tage lang bin ich für jeweils zwei Stunden an einem Verfolgerscheinwerfer gestanden. Die lange, ungewohnt stehende Haltung (normalerweise verbringe ich den Tag sitzend) ist sich die Wirbelsäule nicht gewohnt, und als sie sich nach so lange aufrecht stehen wieder biegt, zerbricht und verschmettert sie gleich in gefühlt tausend Teile, die Beckenmuskeln klammern sich ängstlich an sie und lassen nicht mehr los. Out of service für mehrere Tage; Nachbeben für mehrere Wochen.

Was passiert hier? UNO im Endstadium. Der ganze Kartenstapel ist aufgebraucht, es sind nur noch zwei Karten übrig: Eine blaue Null, und eine gelbe Null. Wenn Null gelegt wird, bedeutet das, dass alle Spieler ihre Karten in Spielrichtung weitergeben. Eine weitere Zusatzregel sagt, dass ein Spieler solange Karten ziehen muss, bis er sie legen kann und dann legen muss.

Ich ziehe eine blaue Null und kann sie auf die gelbe Null legen, die bereits in der Mitte liegt -- alle geben ihre Karten in Spielrichtung weiter. Die gelbe Null ist somit wieder auf dem Kartenstapel verfügbar, von dem man Karten aufnehmen kann. Der nächste Spieler ist dran. Er kann nicht, also zieht er eine Karte -- die gelbe Null. Die passt auf die blaue Null -- alle geben ihre Karten weiter, die blaue Null wandert auf den Stapel und ist zum Aufnehmen bereit. Kein Spieler kann spielen, das unspielbare Kartenset wandert mit, die gelbe und blaue Null wechseln sich ab, das Spiel dreht sich endlos weiter.

Warum ist das so? Natürlich hat niemand erwartet, dass der Claude statt möglichst viele Karten ablegen möglichst viele Karten aufnehmen spielt, einfach so zum Gspass aus purer Lebensfreude und weil heute Donnerstag ist. Nun hält er einen satten Fächer mit 68 Karten in seiner Pranke. Das ist praktisch der ganze Stapel. Sämtliche Karten im Spielset befinden sich in den Händen der Spieler, es sind keine Karten zum Aufnehmen mehr da -- ausser, jemand legt eine auf die Mitte ab. Dann wird die wieder verfügbar und muss aufgenommen und gelegt werden.

• The first known public schools were created by the pre-Sumerian peoples to create more time & general efficiency for adults so that they could partake in a larger society without overworking or becoming worn out. This extra time & new interconnected social system allowed for more successful engineering, weapon construction & war waging.
• The compulsory school system has largely evolved from ideas to build a society that were first articulated 2400 years ago in „Plato’s Republic“.
• Plato’s Republic reasons that to make a society work best, peoples family and community links need to be broken so that society becomes their family and their community.
• Furthermore, it reasons that people need to specialise even in certain undesirable professions that are necessary for a society to work.
• These basic concepts were finally implemented in such a way that they actually worked by the Prussian monarchy, and adopted in the US in the 1850’s.
• The way that the concepts are currently implemented are as follows:
  • Make school compulsory. This has the effect of demonstrating to the child and the parents that the state is a more powerful influence in the child’s life than the parent.
  • Divide children by age and ability so that no lasting friendships form.
  • Occupy the child’s time with boring things with little meaning for the first few years so that the child doesn’t develop an interest in learning, or loses whatever interest they have. Above all, make the easy look hard.
  • Make it difficult for children to question authority. Make them raise hands to ask a question. All decisions are final.
  • Make children compete amongst themselves for marks and for the teachers favour.
  • Since the children with the highest marks have a demonstrated ability to do as they are told, they are permitted to advance into higher learning.
  • The people that higher learning churns out are indoctrinated into professions that have their own checks and balances to make sure that practitioners don’t stray too far out of government control.
• The desired and produced effect of this is that the school system churns out children who are workforce, citizenship and consumer ready, not because they know how to work, but because they are predictable, willing to obey orders, loathe to question and don’t have the life skills to escape the situation.
