Laut einem Bericht der SonntagsZeitung setzt sich der St.Galler Staatsanwalt und Leiter der Arbeitsgruppe «Organisierte Kriminalität» der Strafverfolgungsbehörden, Thomas Hansjakob, für den Einsatz von Softwarewanzen ein. Zudem will er die Frist für die Vorratsspeicherung der Internetdaten von sechs Monaten auf zehn Jahre verlängern. Telekomanbieter, die sich nicht an die Regeln halten, müssten mit hohen Bussgeldern und Sanktionen rechnen.

Der eidgenössische Inlandsgeheimdienst (DAP) möchte künftig sogar ohne strafrechtlich relevanten Verdacht Spähsoftware gegen PC-Besitzer einsetzen. Hansjakob befürchtet so allerdings einen vermehrten Einsatz von Trojanern. Solche Techniken dürften nur in Ausnahmefällen und mit richterlicher Genehmigung angewendet werden.

Sonst aber noch alle Tassen im Schrank, Hansjakobli? Wir haben ja keine anderen Sorgen. Man bedenke auch, was das alles kostet, Daten 10 Jahre(!!!) lang aufzubewahren.

Wer schon mal in einem Schweizer Hörsaal einer Vorlesung lauschen durfte, wird nicht überrascht sein, dass die Schweizer Institutionen nicht gerade zur Crème de la Crème gehören.

Meine Hochschulklasse ist mittlerweile auch schon zur Hälfte im StudiVZ. Alte Klassenkammeraden sind begeistert von klassenfreunde.ch und ein paar Kollegen aus der Lehrzeit haben sich bei XING (ex OpenBC) eingetragen.
Dabei geht die Anzahl von diesen Networks noch weiter. Da wären: Friendster, Hi5, LinkedIn, Orkut etc…. bei Wikipedia gibt’s eine ausführliche Liste.

Aber um was gehts dort eigentlich? Inhaltlich sehr fade, macht es den Eindruck, dass nur der Wer-kennt-Wen-Zwang und eine Lust auf Selbstdarstellung die ganzen Networks ermöglichen. Hab eine interessante Meinung dazu gefunden, die meine Meinung unterstützt und zeigt warum diese Networks unnütz sind. Maintain your online presence! Ist ja zum Lachen! Fast so verrückt wie Second Life.

Des Weiteren ist auch Vorsicht angebracht. Wenn ich dann bei Wikipedia den Artikel über StudiZV lese und sehe, was die für Sicherheitsprobleme haben….

Die Tageszeitung The Sun zitiert am heutigen Montag aus internen Papieren, aus denen hervorgeht, dass das britische Innenministerium den flächendeckenden Einsatz versteckter Kameras auf Straßen und Plätzen befürwortet, die mit Terahertz-Strahlung arbeiten und die Kleidung von Passanten durchdringen können.
