The following poem appeared in the May/June 1990 issue of Infocus magazine and has since been floating around the Internet. The original authors were Fred Bremmer and Steve Kroese of Calvin College & Seminary of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

A poll conducted among Infocus readers had established “waka” as the proper pronunciation for the angle-bracket characters < and >, though some readers held out resolutely for “norkies.”

Auch beim iPod-Kauf im Apple-Online-Store wird die Suisa-Gebühr erhoben – so wie im Elektronikgeschäft um die Ecke. Apple aber liefert diese Einnahmen nicht an die Suisa, sondern weigert sich, diese rauszurücken. Darüber beschwert sich die Stiftung Konsumentenschutz und fordert, dass Apple diesen Betrug sofort stoppt. Schliesslich profitiere der Apfel-Laden seit 1. September 2007 von ihren Kunden, die Suisa-Gebühr zahlen. Apple antwortet darauf: «Nur Importeure wie Fust, Dataquest, etc. müssen diese Abgabe an die Suisa abliefern. Die iPods auf apple.ch kommen aus Irland, womit Apple nicht Importeur ist.»

Sollte Apple damit Recht haben, so fordert SKS das Unternehmen auf, den Kunden die vermeintliche Suisa-Gebühr wieder zu retournieren und die Preise im Online-Store entsprechend zu senken.

Seltsam, ich konnte mich seit ein paar Tagen von aussen nicht mehr auf meinem Server einloggen. Als ich auf dem Router nachschaute, waren alle Port-Weiterleitungen weg – ??!

Doch es kommt noch besser: Misstrauisch über diese Situation will ich das Passwort ändern – und staunte nicht schlecht:

Ha! Da hat sich doch die Swisscom stinkfrech auf meinem Router eingeloggt (nein, ich habe das Passwort geändert, die kommen anders rein), die Firmware ausgetauscht und die Passwortseite ersetzt!

Nichts ist sicher.

Nett dass in meinem Zimmer jetzt ein Pferd weidet. Ein trojanisches Pferd. Diese Situation macht es wieder einmal deutlich: Dieses blinkende Kästchen ist böse. Sozusagen steht da jetzt ein Computer mitten in meiner Wohnung, über den ich keine Kontrolle habe. Was nützt die eingebaute Firewall? Ein Witz! Theoretisch könnten die von aussen auch wieder die eingebaute Wireless-Antenne aktivieren… Oder allen möglichen Scheiss anstellen.
Nun muss ich mein Netzwerk intern schützen oder wieder einen IPCop vor die Stalltür stellen.
