Selbst gemacht

Dies ist das Fest der Anreisser und Macher, der Spinner und Visionäre. Das Festival ist ein Grosskunstwerk. Es ist Freiluftgalerie, Ausstellung und Karneval in einem. Wer den Platz betritt, bringt sich kreativ mit ein. Es gibt keine Zuschauer, nur Teilnehmer. Die Veranstalter stellen nur eine leere Wiese zur Verfügung. Es gibt nichts ausser Trinkwasser, Bau- und Brennholz. Es liegt an den Teilnehmern, ihre Bauten und Projekte Tag für Tag wachsen zu lassen und so für wenige Tage eine kuriose neue Welt zu erschaffen.

Entkommerzialisiert

Am Festival kannst du nichts kaufen oder verkaufen. Nach der Kollekte am Eingang kannst du dein Portemonnaie weglegen. Ob Trinken, Essen, Unterhaltung – was auch immer du haben möchtest: Du musst es selber mitbringen.

Schenken

Geben ist die Grundlage des Festivals. Schenken ist nicht Tauschen. Erwarte keine Gegenleistung. Ein Geschenk ist an keine Bedingung oder Absicht geknüpft. Erhälst du ein Geschenk, übernimmst du auch die Verantwortung dafür. (Bierdose, Verpackungen, …) Schenkst du, so wirst du reich zurückbeschenkt. Remember, first give – then receive.

Radikale Selbstverwirklichung

Sei, was du schon immer sein wolltest. Sei das beste Selbst, welches du dir vorstellen kannst. Das Festival ist ein Spielfeld deiner Selbst, immer die anderen respektierend. Tob dich aus, ignoriere Konventionen. Dies ist der Moment, um dich neu zu erfinden. Sei es alleine, als Teil eines Projektes in einer Gruppe, verkleidet oder geschminkt, die Möglichkeiten sind unendlich.

Brennend

Erster Höhepunkt des Festivals ist das Entzünden des Seelenfeuers – dieses wird während der Eröffnungszeremonie entfacht und während der ganzen Festivalwoche durchgehend am Lodern gehalten. Samstagnacht verwandelt sich der Festplatz in ein brennendes Kunstwerk. Stück für Stück werden brennbare Kunstprojekte vom Seelenfeuer entfacht. Am Sonntagmorgen ist vom Festival nur noch ein Häufchen Asche übrig.

Radikale Eigenverantwortung

Dies ist ein Mitbring-Festival. Du sorgst selber für dein Essen, deine Unterkunft, dein Wohlergehen und für jenes deiner Mitcamper. Nur Wasser und Toiletten werden zur Verfügung gestellt.

Radikale Offenheit

Jeder kann ein Teil des Festivals sein. Wir heissen das Fremde willkommen und respektieren es. Egal welche politische Gesinnung, egal welche sexuelle Ausrichtung, egal welcher Lebenswandel. Jede und jeder ist willkommen, der/die diese Offenheit teilt, friedlich ist und die anderen respektiert.

Erneuerbar

Das Festival bezieht keine Energie aus der Steckdose oder aus fossilen Brennstoffen und ist eine Experimentierplattform für alternative Energiequellen.

Der Strom für die Grundinfrastruktur wird komplett mit erneuerbaren Energiequellen erzeugt. Auch die Teilnehmer sind aufgerufen, für sich und ihre Projekte selber Strom auf dem Platz zu erzeugen.

Spurlos

Was auch immer du mit auf den Berg bringst, nimmst du auch wieder mit runter. Jeden Zigarettenstummel, jeden Bierdeckel, jeden Nagel. Auf dem Platz gibt es weder Mülleimer noch eine Entsorgung. Wir behandeln die Umwelt mit grösstem Respekt. Wir hinterlassen keine Spuren. Ziel ist, den Festivalplatz in einem besseren Zustand zu verlassen, als wir ihn angetroffen haben.

Boom is a festival dedicated to Free Spirits from all over the world. It is the gathering of the global psychedelic tribe and of whoever feels the call to join in the celebrations!! A unpredictable and unforgettable week-long adventure, it takes place, every two years, during the full moon, on the shores of a magnificent lake in the sunny Portuguese inland where everyone is invited!

Psychedelic for us means to think outside the box

Psychedelic means mind manifesting but has been associated as an attribute for music, arts in general and alternative ways of life. Our perspective on psychedelia is that every single individual is essentially free. Free to think, to act, to create, and to respect one another. It is awakening a holistic awareness that all beings share the same pulse of life, that we are part of an interconnected Universe. We do not believe in the psychedelic orthodoxy that advocates being boxed into one style of music, one lifestyle, or one philosophy. We also do not resonate with the narrative that psychedelic consciousness means intoxication. To be free is to be aware, is to challenge the limits, is to think outside the box and not to submit to the dominant culture.

Etwas wurde mir im Verlauf dieser vier Tage bewusst: Das Being-Gathering ist ein Healing-Festival. Einige der besten Heiler auf dem ganzen Planeten haben sich hier versammelt und sind am Tag 3 auf dem Gelände herumgelaufen. Die Erklärungen auf dem Flipchart mit dem Knoten lösen. Das Mysterienschauspiel mit den versteckten Weisheiten und wie unser Denken funktioniert. Die Quantenheilerin. Therapeuten. Psychologen. Masseure. Dabei hatte ich mir die sieben Tipis für 1:1 Sitzungen mit hunderten von Spezialisten noch nicht mal angeschaut. Das Angebot ist riesig.

Wie immer wurde der Heilprozess für jeden Einzelnen von der Boom-Wesenheit orchestriert. Die Therapeuten sind nur die Gefässe. Zum Leben erweckt und mit Bedeutung versehen werden sie von dieser kosmischen Entität, die alles leitet, steuert und lenkt. Niemand sonst könnte jeden Einzelnen so heilen, wie sie es kann. Ich habe es selber miterlebt.

Jetzt klatscht mir eine Ladung direkt an den Rücken. „OUUUUUU“ stimmen gleich ein paar ein. „Jetzt gibt’s aber Ärger!“ drohe ich mit breitem Grinsen. „Nicht ins Gesicht, nicht ins Gesicht!“ weisen mich zwei Mädchen an. „Aber klar.“ und ich ziele vorsichtig auf ihre Beine. „Ich bin draussen, ich spiele nicht mit, bitte bewirf mich nicht! Ich bin erst drin wenn ich selber geworfen habe.“ „Ok“ sage ich zu dem Mädchen am Rand und lasse sie in Frieden. Die Meute rennt wild herum. Eine gigantische Schlammschlacht ist entfesselt. „Guck mal, was wir hier haben“ sage ich zur einen, nachdem ich mit meinen Armen wie ein Schneeräumer tieeeeeef im Schlamm ausgeholt habe und einen riesigen Klumpen darauf trage. Ihre Augen werden gross und ganz entsetzt stäubt sie davon, natürlich begleitet von einem wilden Lachen. Ich klebe den Klumpen auf den nächsten freien Mädchenrücken. *Kreisch*!

Ich filme die Flötenspielerin eine Weile lang und setzte mich dann auf den Felsen, um diese Abendstimmung zu geniessen. Da fängt etwas weiter hinten plötzlich eine zweite Flöte an zu spielen und begleitet die Erste. Das gefällt mir! Jetzt nimmts mich aber wunder. Wer sind diese Leute? Ich schleiche mich hinten zu ihnen und setze mich unauffällig zur Gruppe dazu. Vier weitere Flöten sind am Boden ausgebreitet.
