„Ich hab da noch was organisiert, was ich nicht offiziell auf dem Programm angekündigt haben wollte“ erzählt mir Christoph unter vier Augen und fährt fort: „das wird sicher für Diskussionsstoff im OK sorgen.“ -- nein Christoph, erzähl! Was hast du vor?
„Am Mittwoch spielt eine Deathmetal-Band.“
„OH MY FUCKING GOD WIE GEIL!!!!!“ platze ich raus und verfalle gleich in schallendes Lachen.
Der Christoph schleppt eine Deathmetalband an ein Hippiefestival. Ich frage mich jetzt schon, wo ich all das Popkorn herkriege für dieses Ereignis. So ein geiler Siech! Ja, wir wollen ja ein Festival sein, dass möglichst viele Kulturen und Stilrichtungen beinhaltet. Metal hat bisher gefehlt. Letztes Jahr hatten wir noch darüber gewitzelt, ob wir ein Wacken-Village als Camp machen wollen… Und jetzt spielt einfach eine Metalband!
Mittwoch Nachmittag.
Flötenzauber, Hunde und Gitarren spielen zierlich im Zirkuszelt, während sie auf der Bühne anfangen, die bösen Gitarren aufzustellen… Au weia, das wird ja heiss! 😀

Christoph will noch zwei Fähnli malen als Bühnendeko: „Headbangen du sollst“ und „Nein, der Gitarrist will deine Kinder nicht essen“. Doch dazu reicht die Zeit nicht mehr. Wir sind noch am Aufstellen des Zelts für die Band, da tönt es vom Zirkuszelt her, als hätte jemand den Rasenmäher angelassen. Schnell dahin!
Dort angekommen, spielen sich bizarre Szenen vor unseren Augen ab. Ein paar verstörte Hippies verlassen fluchtartig das Zelt, andere strömen herein. Vereinzelt stehen sie vor der Bühne und wissen noch nicht so genau, was sie damit anfangen sollten. Draussen sind sie am jonglieren und Hula-Hopp spielen, während drinnen blanke Kettensägengitarren die Luft zerfleischen. Ein paar Kinder stehen staunend vor der Bühne. Ist es nur Lärm und Geschrei, oder spielen die wirklich so schnell? Ich schaue fasziniert dem Schlagzeuger zu. Blitzschnell fährt er über die Trommeln, die Cymbals am dauercrashen, untermalt mit zwei Bassdrumpedalen. Und wenn man genau hinhört, passt das alles perfekt mit den Gitarren und dem Gesang zusammen. Hochpräzise!
Einen nach dem anderen vertätscht es vor Lachen. Deathmetal an einem Hippiefestival, zu episch!
Und da: Die ersten Hippies beginnen ihren Kopf zu drehen. Funktioniert das Wirbeln mit den Haaren auch mit Rastas? Ein lachendes Gesicht mischt sich unter die headbangende Meute, ‚ich will’s auch mal versuchen‘ und zieht dann grinsend weiter. Was sich hier abspielt ist einfach zu ulkig. Dass sich Metalheads und Hippies einmal an einem Konzert treffen, ist absolute Premiere, das gab es weltweit noch nie!
Ein Mädchen mit einer süssen Katzengesichtsbemalung guckt scheu in die tobende Menge, ein anderes mit einer Blume auf dem Bauch staunt schweigend die Band an. Wenn letztes Jahr am Being-Gathering das Mädchen mit dem Glitzer auf der Stirn Dreck und Schlamm in fremde Vaginas gegossen hat und mit ihren türkisblauen Verzierungen ein perfektes Bild auf einer Rammsteinbühne abgegeben hätte, dann ist das heute die Fortsetzung davon! Der Kontrast könnte nicht grösser sein, das vermeintlich Unvereinbare wird miteinander vereint, Gegensätze spielen Seite an Saite zusammen. Hier sind wir alle nackt, roh, wild und authentisch!
Immer mehr Menschen fangen wie wild an zu tanzen. Die Stimmung steigt. Vor der Bühne flippt eine Frau völlig aus, während zwei hinten mit ihren langen Haaren Windmühlenräder machen. Die Band hat einen Kasten Freibier vor der Bühne deponiert. Und Liedtexte, zum mitbrüllen.
„War jeder schon mal an einem Metalkonzert?“ fragt der Gitarrist und erklärt, dass die Zirkusstange dabei einen bestimmten Zweck hat. Sogleich fängt die Meute an, rundherum zu rennen. Daneben spielen sie im Bonbond und schaukeln auf der Ritti. Gegen Schluss gibt es ein Crowdsurfing mit Christoph und er wird zwei Runden lang ums Zelt getragen, immer schön das Bier balancierend.
Eine Frau nimmt ihr Kind bei der Hand und sie üben zusammen Headbangen. „So geht das!“ -- abwechslungsweise schleudern die beiden ihre Haare hoch und runter. Andere Kinder stäuben durch die Menge und spielen Fangis, rangeln miteinander, fallen um, werden von den Erwachsenen wieder hochgehoben, wie an jedem Metalkonzert. Das ganze mag wild aussehen, aber alle passen aufeinander auf.
Am Schluss dürfen alle noch auf die Bühne und auch mal ins Mikrofon brüllen, untermalt von der Band. Ein Riesengaudi! 😀
„Gebt euch allen ein Applaus, und gebt Christoph einen Applaus!“ Er hat diese Band organisiert. Ja Christoph, du bisch de geilschti Siech! Was ursprünglich als Provokation gedacht war, all die lieben Hippies mal so richtig aufzuscheuchen und ein wenig Metal ans Festival zu bringen, endet nun damit, dass Metalheads und Blumenkinder sich zusammen eine Bühne teilen und gemeinsam feiern. DAS ist kultureller Austausch und Filterblasen platzen lassen in Aktion. Kulturen, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein können, haben sich gegenseitig kennengelernt und sind miteinander vereint. Letztendlich sind wir im Inneren alle gleich. Jetzt hab ich Tränen in den Augen.

Der Festivalphilosophie entsprechend verschenkt die Band CDs und gesellt sich nachher zum gemeinsamen Essen ins Klimacamp, wo es Essen für alle gibt. Kein anonymes Verschwinden im Backstage-Bereich, sondern Bandmitglieder zum anfassen und reden. Genau das mag ich so an diesem Festival.
