In Europa wurde am 25. Mai eine ziemlich satte Datenschutzverordnung aktiv. Neu muss jeder, der Daten von Europäern bearbeitet, explizit eine Erlaubnis beim Benutzer holen, und Firmen müssen ganz genau deklarieren, wo welche Daten zu welchem Zweck erhoben werden und wie lange sie gespeichert werden.

Meine Mailbox quillt über von Privacy Policy Update und Wir aktualisieren unsere Datenschutzerklärung. „Transparenz und Datenschutz sind uns wichtig.“ Nein, ist es euch nicht. Denn wenn es euch wichtig wäre, dann hättet ihr schon lange vorher Vorkehrungen dafür getroffen und die Erlaubnis bei den Leuten eingeholt. Alle Firmen, die kurz vor dem 25. Vor einem Jahr: Die Welt in 14 Jahren

Wir sitzen am Feuer, es dunkelt ein. Unsere Kommune ist selbstorganisiert, selbstversorgend und selbstverwaltet. Jeder hat seinen Stamm, seine Gleichgesinnten, wo er sich zuhause fühlen kann: Geborgen, ermutigt, bestätigt und respektiert in seiner ganzen Seinsart, Eigenart und Vielfalt. Auf der ganzen Welt haben sich Menschen zu Kommunen zusammengeschlossen und leben in ihren natürlichen Kulturkreisen, jede mit ihren Eigenarten und Spezialitäten. Überregional schliesst man sich zu einer Föderation zusammen, die immer aus wechselnden Mitgliedern der Kommunen besteht. Manchmal gehen Kinder zur Föderation und vertreten ihre Interessen. Dann aber auch die Gilde der Informationsritter, die sich mit dem zur Verfügung stellen und der Verbreitung von Information befasst; also Netzwerk, Kryptografie, Speicherdienste, Hosting, Sendestationen, Datenübertragung. Jeder hat seine eigene Sendestation, mit der er Informationen in Text, Bild und Ton verbreiten kann. Die Gilde der Blumenwächter schützt und erhält seltene Arten. Baumwächter und Waldhirten forsten den Wald auf und bestimmen Schutzzonen, die den Hauptbestandteil des Waldes ausmachen, und die Zonen für Brennholz. Der Wald ist riesig; fast 82% des Landgebietes bestehen aus Wald. In jeder Gilde finden sich Menschen im Alter von 1-130 Jahren, und wenn Menschen mit viel Erfahrung auf Frischlinge treffen, lernen die Kleinen sehr schnell und vor allem: Praktische Fähigkeiten. Dank der Gilde der Nuklearphysik steht in jeder Kommune ein Reaktor, der die Energie aus dem Raum selbst transponiert. Kunst ist überall. Jeder Tag ein Fest. Der Umgang mit psychotropen Hilfsmitteln ist bewusst und wird für verschiedene Situationen angemessen genutzt und wirkt bereichernd. Rex-1 is a non-lethal device that works by severing the connection between a quadcopter and its controller, as well as jamming satellite positioning systems, GSM and Wi-Fi signals.

Jedes Jahr landen fast acht Millionen Tonnen Plastik im Meer. Bis sich der Kunststoff unter diesen Bedingungen zersetzt hat, dauert es Ewigkeiten. Eine Plastikflasche braucht beispielsweise 450 Jahre, um komplett zu zerfallen. In Großbritannien setzten Forscher nun auf spezielle Bakterien, um die Umweltverschmutzung in den Griff zu bekommen.

Das neue Enzym zersetzt Plastik viel schneller

Der gefräßige Mikroorganismus ‚Ideonella Sakaiensis‘ ist der Forschung schon länger bekannt. Wissenschaftler entdeckten, dass die Bakterien sich auf Flaschen ansiedelten und das Plastik mithilfe eines Enzyms verdauten. Das Problem war bisher nur, dass es immer noch lange dauerte, bis das Plastik komplett zersetzt war. Für eine dünne Plastikfolie brauchten die Bakterien rund 60 Wochen.

Wissenschaftler experimentierten nun mit dem Enzym, das die Bakterien zum Verdauen des Plastiks brauchen. „Wir haben das Erbgut herausgenommen und mit dem Enzym herum-experimentiert und bei diesem Vorgang haben wir durch Zufall ein schnelleres Enzym entwickelt“, erklärte John McGeehan, Professor an der Universität Portsmouth. Die Bakterien schaffen es jetzt, in 96 Stunden eine komplette Plastikflasche zu zerlegen.

„Iiih, Gemüse! Früchte!“ hab ich früher als Kind gesagt und nur widerwillig die schlabbrigen, verwelkten Blätter des Rahmspinats heruntergewürgt. Genauso wie die im Öl triefenden Rüebli. Oder der Gedanke an die Hautstücke, die regelmässig zwischen den Zähnen im Mund hängenbleiben, wenn man einen Apfel isst. Sonderlich gut schmeckt der nicht, so roh, und nachher brennt einem das ganze Maul. Wieso muss gesundes Essen immer so gruusig sein?

Die Nahrungsmittelpyramide steht bei mir auf dem Kopf. Ganz subtil plagt mich das schlechte Gewissen, dass ich zu wenig Salat und Gemüse esse.

Und dann habe ich die Hippiemikrowelle entdeckt. Das stand schon lange auf dem Plan, nachdem es mir die Smoothies am Being-Gathering so angetan haben. Jetzt ist es endlich soweit.
