Als CEO einer grossen Bank in Basel hat Marc Fischer schon vieles erreicht: Macht, Geld und Ansehen.Mit der unmittelbar in Aussicht stehenden Erbschaft würde sein Status an Bedeutung gewinnen, doch ein bis dahin unbekanntes Familienmitglied steht seinen Plänen im Weg. Marc Fischer ist bereit, alle notwendigen Mittel einzusetzen, um sein Erbe zu sichern, und schreckt auch vor dem Gedanken an Mord nicht zurück. Sein Freund Pierre Cointrin ist CEO eines grossen Pharma-Unternehmens in Basel und auf der Suche nach dem Intelligenzgen. Noch ahnt keiner von beiden, welch fatale Folgen dieses Projekt für sie haben wird.
Mein Kommentar: Absolut Genial und spannend bis zum Schluss! Ich habe dieses Buch per Zufall gefunden und gleich an einem Wochenende durchgelesen! Das spannende ist, dass sich diese fiktive Geschichte an vielen bekannten Schauplätzen in Basel abspielt und dadurch jemanden aus der Region Basel besonders mit ins Geschehen hinein nimmt. Es braucht auch nicht besonders viel Phantasie zu erahnen welche Institutionen mit der Sovitalis und der World Bank Corporation gemeint sein könnten.
