Zwei bunt geschmückte Drachen umrunden eine farbige Säule in der Mitte des Dance Temple und fauchen die Bühne an, welche nach Westen ausgerichtet ist -- genau so, dass hinter ihr die Sonne untergeht. Sprinkleranlagen von oben und von der Säule sorgen für die nötige Kühlung in der Mittagshitze. Noch hindern uns Absperrbänder am Betreten des Tempels. Die letzten Vorbereitungen werden getroffen, der Sandboden wird ein letztes mal umgewälzt und geglättet.
Auf einmal hören wir von weit her Gesang und Trommeln.
Wake up, wake up, wake up;
rise with the rising sun.
Listen to your heart --
we are one, we are one, we are one.
Tänzer mit Fackeln und Trommeln nähern sich.
Ein Schamane und eine Frau in einem weissen Kleid tragen das Sacred Fire in den Tempel.
Sie umrunden einmal den Tempel und tragen das Feuer danach in die Mitte.
Gespannt schaut die Menge der Zeremonie zu.
Nachdem der Schamane und die weiss gekleidete Frau eine dicke Zigarre geraucht und eine gemeinsame Ansprache auf der Bühne gehalten haben, heisst es: „Now, come in!“
Die Menge strömt herein.
Highlight Tribe stehen bereit mit Bongos, Schlagzeug und Didgeridoo.
Der linke Drache…
…und der rechte.
Der Tempel füllt sich. Die Menschenmenge tanzt ausgelassen.
Die Sonne geht unter. Es wird Nacht. Ich schlendere durch die Healing Area. Da sind so viele Menschen -- zu welchen könnte ich mich gesellen? Man ist eben doch allein, unter dieser grossen anonymen Masse. Ja, es sind alle friedlich und ausgelassen -- aber alle sind in ihren Gruppierungen unterwegs, schon irgendwo eingewoben. Ob ich wohl der einzige bin, der alleine an dieses Festival gekommen ist?
Ein weisser, beleuchteter Stoffring umkreist ein kleines Kunstwerk in der Mitte. Gerade eben steigt eine kleine Menschengruppe unter diesem Stoffring hindurch -- ich beschliesse kurzerhand, einfach mit hindurchzuschleichen. Woah, was für ein hübsches Kunstwerk, sage ich mir halblaut.
„Oh hai, hi!“, begrüsst mich die Gruppe. „Where are you from?“ -- Switzerland. „Oh, wir sind aus Österreich -- Tirol.“, begrüssen mich ein Junge und fünf Mädels freundlich. Freut mich sehr!
„Bist du denn alleine hier?“ -- Jaa… 🙂
„Oh, magst ein wenig mit uns mitkommen?“ „Sehr gern!“
Zack, schon bin ich versorgt.
„Kommt, wir gehen in den Dance Temple!“
Wir schleichen uns so gut es geht durch die hüpfende und tanzende Menge. Die Menschen haben viele Rucksack- und Trinkdepotinseln im Tempel aufgestellt, das Gedränge ist nicht so gross. Wir kommen gut bis vor die linke Seite der Mittelsäule.
Spontan hauen uns ein paar Leute an. Woher seid ihr, wie geht’s euch? Prima!
„It’s your first time at boom? You came alone? I went to Boom alone too, in 2006. And there, I met awesome people!“
Nach einer Weile leuchten kleine weisse Punkte im UV-Licht auf dem Unterarm der neuen Bekanntschaft. „LSD -- it’s a quarter of a trip“.
ÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖHM…! 😀
Moment mal, in diesem Setting?
„It’s a very low dose, and the trip isn’t very strong, so you’ll notice almost nothing.“
Er bietet allen ein Viertelteilchen an. Ich bin etwas unschlüssig. „This is charity -- you’ll enjoy it!“. Er zeigt mir die Originaldosis. Ein gerippeltes Papier -- „See: Alice in Wonderland!“
„Passt ihr auf mich auf?“, frage ich die Mädels. „Ist mein erstes mal LSD unter diesen Bedingungen.“
„Aber sicher doch -- wir sind bei dir!“. Zu erwähnen ist noch, dass die netten Damen unter dem Einfluss von MDMA stehen, welches -- wie ich schon beschrieben hatte -- sehr menschlich, empathisch und fürsorglich macht. Na, dann kann ja nichts schiefgehen. Und bei der kleinen Menge -- ok.
Etwas säuerlich schmeckt das Papier schon, das ich mit der Zunge gegen den Gaumen drücke. „You’ll just be fine. You will explode in joy!“, sichert mir der Typ zu. „LSD is fun. Everything is interesting…“, teilt mir seine Freundin mit.
Na denn…
Nach ungefähr 30min sich bewegen merke ich -- nichts. „See -- almost nothing! Here’s another one.“
HMMMMM.
Also gut.
Ein Wärmegefühl breitet sich im Magen aus. Die Farben beginnen mehr und mehr zu leuchten, der ganze Tempel glimmt, und ich kann die Musik intensiver spüren. Ich teile diese Entdeckung meinen Freunden mit.
„See -- you’ll just be fine.“
Hätte ich nicht gedacht. Gut, muss wirklich eine geringe Dosis sein. Es ist gerade angenehm. Leichtes Euphoriegefühl und warme Farben, und ich nehme eine feine Aura um alle leuchtenden Objekte wahr. Ein Laserstrahl strahlt durch die Säule an das andere Ende des Tempels. Blaue Laserlichter flimmern über die Menge. Ein Beamer beleuchtet die Bühne und deren Verzierung von vorne mit Mustern.
Die Musik ist mystisch (ab 0:40), energiegeladen, pulsierend. Ein Grundbeat gibt den Takt an, zusammen mit dem Bass. Es pulsiert und vibriert, hält uns im Rhythmus. Darüber klingen mystische Klänge, ein elektronisches röhren, dröhnen, flimmern, lasern von Tönen. Sie verzieren und untermalen den Grundrhythmus. Diese Musik ist für solche psychedelische Zustände gemacht -- deshalb nennt man das auch Psytrance (Psychedelic Trance).
Ob ich morgen eine ganze Dosis probieren sollte? Unter diesem Setting, mit diesen Leuten als Begleiter? Gar nicht mehr so unrealistisch. Aber noch bin ich unschlüssig. Meine Filze seien ziemlich deftig, versicherte mir meine Kontaktperson.
