Für drei Tage zog es uns ins Tessin an den Monte Generoso. So fuhren wir vom wolkenverhangenen Himmel ins schöne Wetter, und genossen feine Pizzen, eine günstige Unterkunft auf einem hübschen Zeltplatz am See und natürlich: Die Landschaft auf 2800 Meter über Meer! Dort wurde es nach einer gewissen Zeit wirklich kühl; bei 16°C und ständigem Wind auch kein Wunder…
Am ersten Tag war die Thermik so ausgeprägt, dass man die Abwinde regelrecht suchen musste. Wir wollten mal kurz zwischenlanden – doch es ging einfach nicht runter!
Anders am zweiten Tag: Wolken verdeckten die Bergspitze; wir gerieten in eine Abwindzone und landeten auf einer kleinen Wiese, umgeben von Wald und bereits in Italien… Glücklicherweise fanden wir den Weg zurück. Zwei Stunden Fussmarsch mit 20kg Gepäck! Was zwei Minuten Sinken bedeuten können… Das war anstrengend!
Aber am dritten Tag stellten sich wieder gute Aufwinde ein – nicht ganz so stark wie am ersten Tag, aber es reichte dennoch, um genügend Höhe zu machen und über dem See neue Manöver zu testen.
Szene 1: Ich fliege einen SAT über dem See… Szene 2: Dasselbe in Rot, diesmal aus der Egoperspektive, gefilmt von Yves Szene 3: Nochmals ein SAT von aussen Szene 4: Der Fullstall (ja, das ist Absicht, dass der Schirm so zerknüngelt wird!) – nur hat der Ivi nicht auf den Kameramann geschaut *grrr*
Bei so einer Höhe musste ich den Fullstall natürlich auch probieren. Nach den Strapazen der Silverstar bin ich ja abgehärtet…
Beim Fullstall zieht man die Steuerleinen soweit wie nur möglich herunter, bis die Strömung am Schirm abreisst. Der Pilot befindet sich dann für einen kurzen Moment im freien Fall rückwärts. Das sind ja schöne Aussichten…
Ich fliege also los, um das auszuprobieren. Mit Gedanken im Kopf, was den alles dabei schieflaufen kann – von Verhängern über Twists bis hin zum Notschirm…
Ich ziehe die Bremsen langsam herunter. Die Windgeräusche nehmen ab, das Tuch wird instabil. Nur noch ein bisschen ziehen…….. Plötzlich kippt der Schirm nach hinten weg. Jetzt die Bremsleinen aber untenhalten! *peng* – es ist als ob jemand mit einer grossen Schere den Schirm plötzlich vom Gurtzeug abgeschnitten hätte; da ist kein Zug mehr auf den Bremsleinen, der Schirm ist auch nirgends mehr zu sehen, und ich befinde mich im freien Fall… Es geht Abwärts! Zwei Sekunden Manövrierunfähigkeit – das ist lange! Doch wuuusch – da ist mein Schirm wieder! Und ich habe auch wieder Zug auf den Leinen! Also jetzt langsam lösen – schwupps, schon befinde ich mich wieder im Normalflug. War’s das nun? SO GEIL!

Ich ziehe wieder an den Bremsen – doch diesmal kippte nebst dem Schirm auch das Gurtzeug noch ein wenig zur Seite; und ich fiel seitlich rückwärts hinunter! Schlimmere Achterbahnen gibt es wohl kaum…
Doch wenn man dieses Manöver oft genug übt, kriegt man Routine und vor allem Vertrauen in dem Schirm. Gute Voraussetzungen, um sich an krassere Manöver heranzuwagen. Ausserdem haben wir uns jetzt die Kosten für ein Sicherheitstraining gespart..
Und schon sind wieder drei Tage um. Ferien gehen einfach zu schnell vorbei!

I han wirklich ned dänkt, dassi de Fullstall mol so sicher fliege chan. Aber ebbe, Uebung macht den Meister. Und au i han no es neus Manöver mit Erfolg chönne usprobiere. De Spin, e Art Minihelikopter, wo t Energie vellecht grad mol für 1-2 Umdräihige länkt, isch eigendlech nüt anders, als en Fullstall uf einer Flügelhelfti. De Schirm wird denn Negativ agströhmt und fangt mit dr Ziit afo Osziliere ( Pändle). ächt en hueregeils Gfühl, will alles so Windstill dött inne isch, und me s erstmol en Iidruck vonere Dreibewegig uf dr Hochackse bekunnt. : )
