Heute waren wir wieder in der Birs… Und sichteten prompt ein paar grosse Exemplare. Ich habe Nachgeforscht. In Google nach „krebse in der birs“ gesucht – und tadaa: Als erstes Ergebnis erscheint eine Seite des Kantons, zum „Schutz der einheimischen Krebse – Pilotprojekt in der Birs“. Agressionen bauen sich in mir auf. Diese verdammten……..

Aber bei genauerem Durchlesen des Artikels muss ich nun sagen: Eigentlich ganz interessant, diese Krebstiere. Wenn auch nicht ganz harmlos.
In der Birs hat sich der Signalkrebs verbreitet – ein „Ausländer“. Und der wird mittels sogenannter „Reusen“ – eine Art Fanggitter – eingefangen. Krebse hat es also so oder so. Nun will man die Ausbreitung des Signalkrebses stoppen und die Verbreitung der einheimischen Arten fördern.
