Die diesjährige Ausgabe des Feuerfestivals ward Liechterloo getauft. Dieses Festival heisst jedes Jahr anders und taucht auf keiner Eventseite auf. So ist sichergestellt, dass Partygänger und Konsumenten fernbleiben.

Wie ist es, eine Woche lang unabhängig von Konzernen zu leben? Anders gesagt, ich erzähle Euch, was mir beim Betreten meiner Wohnung nach dieser Woche durch den Kopf ging. Ich drücke auf einen Knopf, und der Lift fährt zu meiner Wohnung hoch. Aus dem Wasserhahn fliesst warmes Wasser. In der Dusche gibt es warmes Wasser, Duschmittel und ein sauberes Handtuch in Griffnähe. Ich muss nicht erst Holz auf’s Feuer legen, damit die Herdplatte warm wird. Ein Kühlschrank kann Dinge länger haltbar machen. Die Füsse tun mir weh von meinen Schuhen; eine Woche lang Barfuss laufen ist doch eine schöne Freiheit für meine Füsse.

Ein seltsames Gefühl ist das, nach einer Woche vor dem Rechner zu sitzen. Alles passiert automatisch, ich bewege die Maus, der Zeiger wandert über den Bildschirm. So ungewohnt. Ich gucke mir selber zu beim Bedienen von meinem selbst eingerichteten Linux. Es funktioniert alles. Solche Dinge realisiert man erst so richtig, wenn man mal eine Woche lang vom Alltag fernbleibt. Festivals haben so eine wunderbare bewusstseinsvermehrende Wirkung.

Wie ist es denn, in so einer Festivalumgebung zu leben?

Infrastruktur

In der Gemeinschaftsküche gibt es ein Regal, wo jeder nach Herzenslust zugreifen kann, oder selber Nahrungsmittel hinstellen kann für alle.

Ich realisiere grad: Verdammt, ich kann nicht kochen. Eine Büxe Ravioli wärmen oder Pizza in den Ofen schieben geht jetzt nicht mehr. Da liegen Mehl, Tomaten, Teigwaren und allerhand Gemüsesorten. Die müsste man zuerst rüsten…

Aber zum Glück gibt es noch die Rumpelküche:

Und die funktioniert so: Jeder bringt Nahrungsmittel und Zutaten vorbei, und Egalius vom Rumpel, der Chefkoch, bereitet daraus einen Eintopf zu für alle. Nach Mittelalter-Rezept. Schmeckt hervorragend!

Wenn man keine Nahrungsmittel hat, kann man alternativ auch ein Bier vorbeibringen. Oder abwaschen.

Die Gwunderwand. Hier kann man sein „Profil“ erstellen, oder ein Inserat schalten. Workshops, Massagen, Dienstleistungen aller Art. Ein paar Dinge sind gegeben, aber das meiste kommt von den Teilnehmern selbst. Dies ist ein Mitmach-Festival, und jeder kann es gestalten, so wie er will.

Eine Horde Kinder stäubt um die beiden Briefträger, welche durch’s Camp laufen und laut den Namen des Empfängers rufen. Ein Spektakel!

Diesmal haben wir drei Hotpots, inklusive einem Hochsitz für den Bademeister. Alles selbstgebaut, aus dem Bauholz für die Brandnacht.

Leben

Es kostet mich immer sehr viel Überwindung, auf andere Menschen zuzugehen. Insbesondere Erwachsene. Ich fühlte noch nie gross Resonanz und Verbundenheit, selbst hier unter Leuten mit ähnlichen Einstellungen und Idealen. Da schwingt immer so eine subtile Erwartungshaltung, ein sozialer Druck mit. Ich habe das Gefühl, man erwartet jetzt von mir bereits ein gewisses Lebensskript. Aber nein, eure Beziehungsdramen interessieren mich nicht, und Kinder hab ich auch keine. Lass uns lieber spielen und geniessen! Ich vermisse den Spieltrieb, den zündenden Funken, das nicht Ernste, die Freude, Spontanität und vor allem: Die sozialen Regeln und Normen zu brechen.

Zum Glück gibt es an diesem Festival auch Kinder. Und da gab es jemanden, mit dem ich all diese Dinge an diesem Festival voll ausleben konnte. Jan; ein kleiner Rotzbengel, genau so frech wie ich, verspielt und voller Tatendrang.

Wie lange ist’s her, seit ich wieder mal einen Purzelbaum gemacht habe? Der Purzelbaum ist vom Aussterben bedroht! Früher gab es ganze Purzelwälder – doch alle wurden von Videospielen und Fernsehen weggerodet. Wir müssen dringend aufforsten!
Jan breitet eine Bahn mit den Schaumgummimatten für das Nirvana-Spa auf dem Rasen aus. Hui! Früher ging das ringer. Mein Körper ist etwas grösser und gstabiger geworden, es dreht nicht mehr so schnell wie damals. Aber egal – es macht einen Heidenspass!

Und wie lange ist’s her, seit ich Versteckis gespielt habe? Ich hab das schon mal bejammert:

Heute hetzen alle nur noch ECTS-Punkten nach. Oder versuchen, Kundenbedürfnisse möglichst gut zu befriedigen. Niemand mehr, der mit mir Versteckis im Wald spielen will.

Ganz anders jetzt. Wir trommeln noch ein paar Kinder zusammen. Zagg, es geht los. „Eins, zwei, drei, vier“ – wir düsen ab. Schnell in ein Versteck! Wo ist er? Kommt er schon? Au ja, dort! 🙂 *kicher* *grins* – Ich liebe diesen Nervenkitzel und die Aufregung. Er weiss nicht, wo wir uns verstecken und wir gucken ihm beim Suchen zu. Bereit? JETZT! Schnell aus dem Versteck zum Hauptquartier rennen, uund: „Agschlage Glood, eins, zwei, dreey!“

Wie geil!

Ich und Jan, die Resonanz stimmt. Ein Verbündeter! Wir haben in dieser Woche eine Menge zusammen unternommen, eine wunderbare Festivalfreundschaft entstand. Viele Leute glaubten, wir seien Geschwister, oder sogar ich sei sein Vater. Ha! Diese Illusion können wir euch gerne aufrechterhalten! Ab sofort sagt Jan „Papi“ zu mir, und ich antworte stets mit „Jää?“. Die kritischen Blicke der Leute wurden sofort verwandelt, und jemand sagt: „Ah, da muss ich nicht zweimal schauen, ob das der Vater ist. Die gleichen sich so.“ Mihihi 😀

Ich finds toll. Mal das Gefühl haben, Papi zu sein. Jedenfalls für drei Tage. Meinen Sohn auf dem Rücken durch die Gegend zu tragen, mit ihm spielen, Fangis und Versteckis, von ihm geärgert werden, wenn er den unfolgsamen Plaggeist spielt. Einmal Vater sein, und das alles ohne 20 Jahre Theater und Verpflichtungen. Mir gefällts.

Brandnacht

Der Brandskulpturenbau hat begonnen. Auch dieses Jahr gab es wieder ein paar ausgefeilte Konstruktionen zu bewundern. Unsere Skulptur war eine Pyramide mit dem all-sehenden Auge, bestückt mit Magnesiumpulver, Blinklanzen und einem Vulkan. Gesegnet von einem Feuerspucker, der in alle vier Himmelsrichtungen eine Flamme ausstiess, und entzündet mit einem Feuerpfeil. Was für eine Zeremonie!

Man konnte sich dem Brand keine zehn Meter nähern, so heiss wurde das.

Auch dieses Jahr wurde die Bühne in Brand gesetzt, während eine rassige Mittelalterband noch spielte. Sie hielten es erstaunlich lange aus, und fetzten weiter, als das Ding im Vollbrand stand. Eine Riesenparty!

Aber auch sonst war auf dem Gelände immer viel los. Viele Leute haben ihre Instrumente mitgebracht, und hie und da entstanden spontan ein paar Jam-Sessions. Gitarren, Handorgeln und Flöten neben dem Seelenfeuer, Dudelsäcke im Wald – dazu Kerzen über das ganze Gelände verteilt – einfach eine wunderschöne Abendstimmung.

Als Jan und ich einmal mit unseren Feuerstäben herumfuchtelten, wurden wir spontan von Dudelsäcken am Wegrand begleitet. Was für eine Show!

Einmal kam eine Band spontan in die Rumpelküche, als wir gerade am Rüsten waren. Rapper. Und prompt legten sie los mit Freestyle:

Manne und Fraue, ihr chänd euch brüste,
hälfet i de Rumpelchuchi bim rüste!

Ein Riesengaudi!

Oder der Typ, der mit seiner Gitarre am morgen vor den WCs ein Ständchen hielt und originalgetreu Mani Matter-ähnliche Lieder sang.

Für nächstes Jahr

Zwei Dinge will ich lernen: Kochen und Massieren. Erstens, weil die mittelalterliche Küche einfach 1A schmeckt – das Fladenbrot. Der Griessbrei. Vogelheu. Richtig schlemmig und würzig, aber dennoch frisch, nahrhaft und gesund. Eine einfache Küche.

Und Massieren lernen. Das kommt immer gut an bei Festivals; der Küchenscheff hat bereits Essen gegen Massage angeboten. Eine Massage geben zu können braucht keinen Platz im Gepäck, und man tut Menschen etwas Gutes und muss nicht viel reden dabei. Genau das Richtige für mich.
