Ein Projekt, dass ich schon über ein Jahr in mir trage: Wir binden eine Gopro an einen Wetterballon und lassen den in die Stratosphäre steigen.

Vieles war ungewiss. Wird der Ballon steigen, reicht das Helium? Wird uns Skyguide die Genehmigung erteilen? Vielleicht landen beim Start Krähen mit ihren Krallen auf dem Ballon? Oder er landet im See, in einer Hochspannungsleitung oder auf der Autobahn?

Kurz nach dem Start empfangen die APRS-Bodenstationen das Peilsignal und wir verfolgen wie gebannt ständig die Höhe und Position. 4000 Meter, 6000 Meter, 8000 Meter…

Irgendwann bei 18’000 Metern bleiben die Signale aus. „Letztes Signal vor 5 Minuten.“ „Letztes Signal vor 20 Minuten.“ Mist! War es doch zu kalt, ist der Tracker doch zu wenig durch die Stypoporsonde geschützt?

Banges Warten auf dem Parkplatz in der Nähe des prognostizierten Zielgebiets. „Ich hab durst, gehen wir Glace ess…*SIGNAL*!“ „Ok, alle einsteigen!“

Yes! Es wird doch noch Bilder geben, der Peilsender meldet sich wieder. Eine Irrfahrt und ein Umweg später bergen wir die Sonde in einem Bauernfeld, das gerade gemäht wird und um 15:45 marschiere ich mit der Sonde in meinen Pfoten gerade rechtzeitig in die Schlussrunde -- eine Viertelstunde vor Schulschluss.

Die eigentliche Botschaft dahinter

Wir haben lange gebangt, in der Totzeit ohne ein Signal. Vieles hätte schiefgehen können, überhaupt hat es ein Jahr gedauert, bis das Projekt überhaupt zustande kam. Doch am Ende kommt es immer gut, hat mir das Leben wieder einmal mehr gezeigt.

So gross die Ungewissheit auch sein mag -- am Ende kommt es immer gut.

Und wenn das für den Wetterballon gilt, dann gilt das auch für diese Coronasache. Was auch immer kommen mag; wie gross auch immer die Unsicherheiten sein mögen -- am Ende kommt es immer gut. Das hat uns der Ballon bewiesen.

Alles was wir tun mussten, ist eine Absicht formulieren, alle Vorbereitungen treffen -- und dann den Ballon loslassen und auf die höheren Kräfte vertrauen.
