Der Einsatz fand sowohl in Baden als auch in Wettingen statt, wo der 58-jährige Schweizer dann festgenommen wurde. Dabei sperrte die Polizei vorübergehend die angrenzende Strasse sowie den nahen Bahnhof ab.
Am Samstag verhaftete die Kantonspolizei Aargau einen 58-jährigen Arzt, weil er auf Social Media Drohungen ausgestossen hatte. Im Netz sorgte dies für wilde Theorien.
Mit einem Grossaufgebot hat die Kantonspolizei Aargau in Wettingen am Samstag den 58-jährigen Arzt T. B.* verhaftet. Nun geben die Behörden neue Details zum Fall bekannt: So waren laut der Aargauer Oberstaatsanwaltschaft Drohungen auf Social Media der Auslöser für die Festnahme. «Aufgrund verschiedener Nachrichten des Beschuldigten in den sozialen Medien musste davon ausgegangen werden, dass dieser eine Gefahr für sich selbst oder für Drittpersonen darstellen könnte», sagt Alex Dutler, Sprecher der Oberstaatsanwaltschaft.
Die Polizei habe ausserdem eine Meldung erhalten, aufgrund derer der Verdacht aufgekommen sei, dass B. eine Waffe haben könnte. Dieser Verdacht habe sich bestätigt. «Im Rahmen einer Hausdurchsuchung konnte eine Schusswaffe sichergestellt werden», sagt Dutler. B. postete am Dienstagmorgen auf Facebook, es habe sich lediglich um seine Armeewaffe gehandelt, Munition habe er dafür keine gehabt.
Nach seiner Festnahme wurde der Beschuldigte laut Dutler ärztlich untersucht und für «nicht hafterstehungsfähig» befunden. Er wurde deshalb zur genaueren Abklärung in eine psychiatrische Klinik überführt.
«Millionen Menschen werden an Ostern grilliert»
Der Beschuldigte hatte sich vor seiner Verhaftung auf Twitter und anderen Social-Media-Kanälen immer wieder kritisch zur aktuellen Coronavirus-Pandemie geäussert – und teils wilde Verschwörungstheorien verbreitet. Zum Beispiel sah er einen direkten Zusammenhang zwischen Corona und 5G: «Diese Sars-CoV-2-Schein-Pandemie ist in der Realität eine 5G-Pandemie», schrieb er auf der Polit-Plattform Vimentis.
Im selben Blogbeitrag schrieb B. vor zwei Tagen: «Wenn ich mich nicht völlig irre, wird der Teufel am Fest der Auferstehung des Sohnes Gottes Millionen Menschen mit 5G grillieren/töten und im Schock der grössten Pandemie und der grössten (Weltwirtschafts-)Depression aller Zeiten uns allen eine (Zwangs-)Impfung mit einem RFID-DNA-Chip verpassen!»
«B. verstrickte sich in Verschwörungstheorien»
Andreas Kyriacou verfolgt B.s Aussagen auf Twitter seit Jahren und kommentiert dort teilweise auch Posts von B. «Über die Jahre ist mir aufgefallen, dass B. sich immer tiefer in Verschwörungstheorien verstrickte», sagt Kyriacou. Angefangen habe es mit Kritik an der Untersuchung zu den Terroranschlägen vom 11. September in den USA. «Wirklich strub wurde es erstmals, als er behauptete, die Anschläge auf die Redaktion von «Charlie Hebdo» seien eine sogenannte False-Flag-Aktion (eine Tarnaktion, um den IS zu beschuldigen, Anm. d. Red.) gewesen.»
2018 bezeichnete B. ein Bild aus dem Syrienkrieg als gefälscht, weil angeblich die Elektroden auf der Brust eines Jungen falsch platziert seien. Der Tweet wurde mehr als 13’000 Mal geteilt, B.s Falschmeldung sorgte international für Aufregung, Schlagzeilen und Empörung. Später korrigierte B. sich und entschuldigte sich für seinen Fehler. Dieser Post kam gerade einmal auf 45 Retweets.
Dass B. sich in den letzten Jahren in Verschwörungstheorien vertieft hat, bestätigt ein Aargauer Grossrat, der namentlich nicht genannt werden möchte: «Bis 2013 oder 2014 hatte ich näheren Kontakt zu B.», sagt er. Doch dann habe B. sich so auf Verschwörungstheorien zu 9/11 und 5G eingeschossen, dass der Grossrat sich von ihm distanziert und ihn auf Facebook geblockt habe.
Kein Zusammenhang mit Corona-Tweets
B.s Verhaftung führt in den sozialen Medien zu kontroversen Diskussionen. Während in Kreisen von Verschwörungstheoretikern davon die Rede ist, dass der Staat mit solchen Verhaftungen Corona-Skeptiker mundtot machen wolle, wenden andere sich von B. ab: «Entschuldigen Sie, aber das ist Nonsense», schreibt eine Userin. «Ich habe Ihre Tweets über Jahre geliebt, aber das ist verrückt.» Auch andere sind der Meinung, die psychiatrische Klinik sei genau der richtige Ort für Menschen wie B.
Dutler von der Oberstaatsanwaltschaft hält ausdrücklich fest, dass der Auslöser der Verhaftung nicht die Corona-kritischen Tweets des Beschuldigten waren. Der Beschuldigte sei vor seiner Verhaftung auch weder bei der Polizei noch bei der Staatsanwaltschaft aktenkundig gewesen.
Wie lange B. in der psychiatrischen Klinik bleiben muss, hängt laut Dutler von den behandelnden Ärzten ab: «Die Entscheidung über die Dauer der fürsorgerischen Unterbringung liegt bei ihnen. Sobald die Voraussetzungen für die Unterbringung nicht mehr gegeben sind, wird der Beschuldigte aus der Klinik entlassen.» Er habe die Möglichkeit, die fürsorgerische Unterbringung durch ein Gericht überprüfen zu lassen.
B. twitterte am Dienstagmorgen: «Ich bin nicht frei, sondern in fürsorgerischer Unterbringung, immerhin nicht mehr in der Gummizelle, sondern nun auch mit etwas (vergittertem) Balkon.»
