Richtig, er gründet seine eigene Freedom Platform, wo er Videos unzensiert mit der Welt teilen kann.
„Ich will David Icke an eine Million Zuschauer streamen.“ Ein Crowdfunding soll das ermöglichen, um die Kosten für die Bandbreite zu stemmen. „Wenn 100’000$ zusammenkommen, können wir 1’000’000 Zuschauer bedienen. Ob wir das wohl schaffen werden?“ äussert er seine Skepsis. Das Crowdfunding ist auf wenige Wochen begrenzt.
Heute ist der 28. April. 14’506 Menschen haben 553’000$ gespendet. Über eine halbe Million Dollar.
Das 100’000$ Ziel wurde mehrmals erweitert.
Phase 1: David Icke Teil 3 mit einer Million Zuschauern: Finanziert.
Phase 2: Interviews mit Ärzten, einem General, Robert F. Kennedy Jr: Finanziert.
Phase 3: Eine komplett zensurresistente Videoplattform: Finanziert.

Letzte Nacht hat Brian seinen erstes Interview für die neue Plattform aufgezeichnet und versucht, live zu streamen. Doch der Server brach unter der Last zusammen, nach 8’500 Zuschauern gab es Timeouts und Verbindungsunterbrüche, der Stream war weg und wurde verschoben. Vor meinem inneren Auge sah ich die Techniker rennen und schwitzen, wie sie in Windeseile versuchen, einen anderen Server hochzufahren. Die SSL-Zertifikatsfehler wechseln von *.vps.hoster.com zu example.com und wurden dann von einer Nginx „Permission Denied“-Seite abgelöst. Eine Millionenvideoplattform baut man eben nicht schnell in wenigen Tagen, schon gar nicht auf einer filigranen WordPress-Seite mit 176 Requests, Cookies und Subscribe-Betteleien.
Nichtsdestotrotz. Brian hat das Interview aufgezeichnet. Und das Ding hat es so richtig in sich.
