Mimimi. Sars, Mers, Zika, Ebola, Vogelgrippe, Schweinegrippe. Und jetzt: DASGROSSEBÖSETÖDLICHECORONAVIRUS!
Es ist eine Weile her, seit sie diese Sau durchs Dorf getrieben haben. Doch jetzt ist es wieder soweit:
„Das Coronavirus in der Schweiz.“ „Vier weitere Fälle in Graubünden bestätigt.“ „Hier werden die Büros von TV24 desinfiziert.“ „Menschen stürmen wegen Virus die Notaufnahmen.“ „Inselspital verlagert den Notfall ins Freie.“ „Migros und Coop kämpfen mit Lieferengpässen.“ „Alle Regale leer.“ „Wie soll ich meinen Hund desinfizieren?“
Fuck, wie angstgetrieben dieses Volk immer noch ist. Die Schlagzeilen verkünden gerade Weltuntergang, mindestens – und schon räumen sie die Regale leer und stürmen in die Notaufnahmen.
Wir hatten das ja schon, vor 10 Jahren: Die Pandemie bricht aus! Habt alle Angst!
Gleiches Spiel, neuer Name. „Schon 2830 Menschen an Coronavirus gestorben.“
Was ist eigentlich mit den Verkehrstoten? Oder den Nikotintoten? Da bricht auch nicht gleich der Notstand aus und Zigaretten werden auch nicht verboten.
Was mich wirklich beunruhigt, ist nicht das Coronavirus. Sondern die Angst der Menschen und die Macht, die es den Behörden gibt. Auch vor zehn Jahren gab es schon Viren und Pandemiehysterien. Da wurden Desinfektionsmittel auf der Schissi aufgestellt, und es wurde darüber nachgedacht, Gesichtsmasken zu verteilen.
Was mich wirklich beunruhigt ist diese nächste Salamischeibe, und dass die damit durchkommen:
Coronavirus: Bundesrat verbietet grosse Veranstaltungen
Bern, 28.02.2020 – Der Bundesrat hat sich heute, 28. Februar 2020, zu einer ausserordentlichen Sitzung getroffen. Aufgrund der aktuellen Situation und der Ausbreitung des Coronavirus, stuft der Bundesrat die Situation in der Schweiz als «besondere Lage» gemäss Epidemiengesetz ein. Grossveranstaltungen mit mehr als 1000 Personen werden verboten. Dieses Verbot tritt sofort in Kraft und gilt mindestens bis am 15. März.
Der Schutz der Bevölkerung hat für den Bundesrat oberste Priorität. Er reagiert auf die jüngste Entwicklung der Coronavirus-Epidemie und stuft die Situation in der Schweiz als «besondere Lage» gemäss Epidemiengesetz ein. Dies ermöglicht dem Bundesrat, in Absprache mit den Kantonen selber Massnahmen anzuordnen, die normalerweise in der Zuständigkeit der Kantone liegen.
Der Bundesrat verbietet öffentliche und private Veranstaltungen in der Schweiz, an der sich gleichzeitig mehr als 1000 Personen aufhalten. Dieses Veranstaltungsverbot gilt ab sofort bis mindestens bis zum 15. März. Für den Vollzug und die Kontrolle sind die Kantone zuständig.
Bei öffentlichen oder privaten Veranstaltungen, bei denen weniger als 1000 Personen teilnehmen, müssen die Veranstalter zusammen mit der zuständigen kantonalen Behörde eine Risikoabwägung vornehmen, ob sie die Veranstaltung durchführen können oder nicht.
Der Bundesrat ist sich bewusst, dass diese Massnahme weitreichende Auswirkungen für die Bevölkerung der Schweiz hat. Sie verspricht aber einen wirksamen Schutz für die Menschen im Land und für die öffentliche Gesundheit. Durch die Massnahme soll die Verbreitung des Coronavirus in der Schweiz eingedämmt werden.

Und dann, als Folge: Basler Fasnacht abgesagt.
Okay – ich hatte mich schon gesorgt, dass sie damit theoretisch das Feuerfestival angreifen und verhindern könnten. Aber dass nun die Basler Fasnacht abgesagt wird – eine kommerzielle Grossveranstaltung – das sind noch mal ganz andere Kuhglocken, die da geläutet werden.
Was folgt als nächstes? Ausgangssperre?
Es fehlt nicht mehr viel bis zum V for Vendetta.
Und dann? Bargeld abschaffen, weil das ja „total unhygienisch und ein Ansteckungsrisiko ist“.
