Die Rammstein-Show im Arma 3 Leveleditor. Playmobil und Lego für Erwachsene.

Eigentlich wollte ich nur das Dorf bei Stratis „ein wenig lebendiger“ gestalten für meine Mission… In Arma gibt es Tanzanimationen, und auf YouTube lässt jemand mehrere Charaktere im Gleichschritt tanzen. „Geil“, denke ich mir, „soll ich einen Flashmob machen?“
„Hmm, auf Stratis gibt es eine schöne Bühne im See. Vielleicht machen sie doch eher eine Performance?“
„Moment mal, wir haben Sprengstoff in Arma. Und ich kann den auf Knopfdruck zünden.“ Das schreit ja förmlich nach einer Rammstein-Show!

Und so ging das immer weiter. Ich platziere Tänzer in Formation auf der kleinen Seebühne und beleuchte sie von seitlich hinten, damit die Konturen schön zur Geltung kommen.

Der Rauch sorgt für den nötigen Kontrast. Die Tänzer stehen per Animationsskript still, während Till Lindemann die Feuerlyrik singt – natürlich im weissen Ghillie-Tarnanzug, wie es sich gehört.

Feuer Frei! – was eignet sich besser dafür als zwei brennende Tanklastwagen links und rechts, und mehrere Reihen Sprengstoff, die gleichzeitig zur Musik explodieren?

So wie beim Intro der aktuellen Tour:

Bereits jetzt sieht die Show Hammer aus und ich verbringe Stunden mit sändälä – völlig im Hyperfocus versunken. Aus einem kleinen „wir dekorieren mal die Stadt für die Mission“ ist nun eine separate Show entstanden.

Aber etwas fehlt noch. Wir brauchen ein Bühnenbild. Und ich will es so düster und kolossal haben wie bei einem echten Rammstein-Konzert. Ein Leuchtturm, der gesprengt wird. Im Asset-Browser finde ich einen noch grösseren Turm mit drei Etagen, auf die ich brennende Kisten platziere. Zuoberst auf dem Turm ein Artilleriepanzer. Eine Reihe Flares, die sich von den Bergen bis tief in den See erstreckt, fliegt mächtig und riesig in einer Feuerlinie langsam herunter ins Wasser.

Arma stellt das Licht besonders schön dar. Mit JSRS und Dynasound 2 tönen die Explosionen noch realistischer; Enhanced Soundscape sorgt dafür, dass der Schall von Wänden und Bergen reflektiert wird; Blastcore lässt Explosionen und Feuer so richtig gut aussehen.

Ich lege mir alle Befehle auf das Scrollrad. Jetzt kann ich die einzelnen Szenen und Explosionen genau zur Musik auslösen – fast wie in echt bei einem Lichtsteuerpult.

setDamage 100 setzt den Schaden eines Objekts auf 100%: Es explodiert.

Bei Flares und Rauch funktioniert das ganz ähnlich. Ich setze einen Trigger und verbinde ihn mit allen Flares, die ich auslösen will.

Feinschliff

Soll die Mission direkt vor der Bühne bei Nacht starten? Nein, ich hole meine Besucher vom Flughafen ab, damit sie schön langsam in die neue Umgebung eingeführt werden – wie bei der Gondelfahrt in Half-Life. Die Erkenntnisse aus unzähligen Making-Of’s und Entwicklerkommentaren kommen wieder hoch und mein Perfektionismus lässt nicht locker. Securitas in gelben Leuchtwesten dürfen dabei genau so wenig fehlen wie Feuerlöscher. Und ich will Parkplatzeinweiser, die uns zur richtigen Stelle lotsen. Natürlich gibt’s einen Eingangsbereich, natürlich gibt es Poster und Plakate. Wie bei einem richtigen Konzert eben. Immersion ist toll! Und natürlich wird da epische Bass-Summ-Musik gespielt und Rauch von den Säulen geweht, bevor das Konzert beginnt, damit auch ordentlich Stimmung und Spannung erzeugt wird. Die Summ-Musik ist gleichzeitig die Gelegenheit für alle, vor dem Konzert ihre Musiklautstärke zu kalibrieren.

Parkeinweiser: Der Trigger löst aus, sobald ein Spieler den Bereich betritt…

…und winkt uns bis zum Zielparkplatz ein.
