Ein Glöckchen bimmelt übers Gelände. Zwei Elfen ziehen eine schwarze Kiste auf einem Wägeli zum Seelenfeuer, wo sich die Menge versammelt hat. „Wir sind Delegierte aus der Anderswelt mit einem Auftrag. Sind wir hier richtig, beim Seelenfeuer?“

Sie öffnen die Kiste und zaubern nach und nach allerhand Geschenke, Weihungen und Effekte ins Feuer. „Und wenn ihr mal den Faden verloren habt am Festival -- könnt ihr ihn hier wieder finden“ erklären sie uns und binden rotes Garn mit einer Schere ans Seelefüür-Schild.

Das Seelenfeuer ist entzündet!

Auf der Bühne macht sich derweil eine DJin bereit.

Und was stellen sie da für Lautsprecher auf?

Richtig, Kling & Freitag. Wir erinnern uns: Das besteste Soundsystem auf der ganzen Welt!

Ich beschliesse, noch ein wenig Holz ins Gemeinschaftszelt zu bringen und schnappe mir einen herumstehenden Veloanhänger. Als ich wieder beim Zirkuszelt vorbeikomme, fängt doch tatsächlich Vini Vici -- Great Spirit an zu spielen -- eines meiner Lieblingslieder! Ich halte kurz inne und schaue der tanzenden Menge zu.

Da gibt es plötzlich einen Ruck im Handgriff des Veloanhängers. Ein Mädchen ist in den Anhänger gesprungen und lächelt verschmitzt. Es ist Nina -- mit ihr hatte ich letztes Jahr Fangis gespielt. Wir lauschen noch ein wenig der Musik, und dann geht es in Richtung Holzlager.

Demonstrativ ziehe ich das Anhängerli mit Nina im Schlepptau über den Brandplatz, während diese Musik spielt. Jetzt sind wir hier! Jetzt fängt es an, und stolz marschieren wir übers Feld, so dass es alle sehen können. Guckt nicht so -- ich darf jetzt auch mal ein Mädchen abschleppen!

Wir parkieren vor der Holzbeige. Das Seelenfeuer ist schon bis auf die Glut abgebrannt -- warum nicht ordentlich einheizen? Wir packen so viel Holz, wie wir tragen können und werfen es aufs Seeläfüür. Sogleich werden wir von den herumstehenden Kindern unterstützt und jeder packt, trägt, schleift und fuhrt Holz ins Seelenfeuer. Schneller, fester, höher, mehr! Jetzt heizen wir so richtig ein.

Das Lied spielt nun Triolen, während ich mit allen Kindern die Holzbretter aufs Feuer lege. Das Universum muss mich ja ganz fest liebhaben, wenn es das Feuerfest so fulminant eröffnet!

Der DJ freut sich, dass wir ihn mit dem Bergpanorama föttelen. Ein Bub kuckt mir dabei über die Schulter zu. „Wir gehen jetzt Kubb spielen“ sagt er zu mir und natürlich komme ich da mit.

Wenige Augenblicke später befinde ich mich mit anderen Kindern auf einem Wikingerschachfeld. Wir versuchen, die anderen mit lauten „HA-TSCHI!“-Geräuschen abzulenken, damit sie ja nicht unsere Klötzchen treffen -- ein Riesengaudi. Kubb -- wann habe ich das zuletzt gespielt? Es ist Jahre her. Schliesslich stelle ich mich Rückwärts zum Spielfeld auf -- und treffe den König durch die Beine!

Die Dämmerung bricht herein. Ein paar Mädchen rasen an mir vorbei. „Spielt ihr Fangis?“ freue ich mich schon. „Nai, Wettrenne. Chum au mit!“ erklärt mir Nina, greift meine Hand und zieht mich nach vorne. „Hier ist der Start, das Ziel ist dort vorne vor der Rutschbahn.“ erklären sie mir und auf drei rennen wir los. Eine Horde Kinder stäubt übers Gelände. Die Mädchen sind erstaunlich schnell. Ich hoffe doch sehr, dass sich hier keine Stolperdrähte und Schnüre am Boden befinden? Wir kommen bei der Rutschbahn an. „Jetzt in die andere Richtung.“ Zagg -- Vollgas wieder zurück! Als wir beim nächsten Mal wieder bei der Rutschbahn ankommen, bitten sie mich, Ziel-Abklatscher zu sein, damit sie genau wissen, wer wann zuerst ins Ziel kommt. Ich stelle mich mit ausgebreiteten Armen auf den Knien hin. Eins -- zweidrei -- vier -- und ein Mädchen, das extra langsam im Schrittempo übers Feld hüpft. Mit ihr laufe ich früher los, „sie hat ein Handicap“ spielen wir und platzieren sie 10 Meter vor dem Ziel, wo sie gleichzeitig mit den anderen loshüpft. Ich stelle das Rotlicht meiner Stirnlampe an, um das Ziel zu markieren. *Klatsch* *klatsch* *kla-klatsch* sind die Mädchen wieder am Ziel. Das nächste Mal bei der Rutsche stelle ich die Lampe auf Strobo -- Blitzlichtmodus, damit es richtig Stimmung gibt beim Zieleinlauf.

Wir laufen zurück und befinden uns neben einer Bar. Chrigel stösst auch dazu. „Da sind meine Kinder. I ha se mol bim Claude abgäh“ erklärt er dem Musikmeister.
„Oh, davon weiss ich ja gar nichts!“ antworte ich ihm.
„Das muesch dänk nid sääge; seisch: ‚Klar, genau wiemer abgsproche hän!'“
Aha. Also stelle ich mich hin und antworte im selben Tonfall: „Klar, genau wiemer abgsproche hän!“ und sogleich bricht die Runde in schallendes Gelächter aus.

„Holt mal Bier“ fordert er die Mädchen auf. Kurz darauf sind die drei Mädchen wieder zurück, mit 4 Flaschen Bilz. „Kinderbier“, erklären sie freudig und ich kriege auch ein Fläschchen. Wir setzen uns an die Bar, ich knie‘ mich neben den zwei Mädchen an der Bar hin. „Eins, zwei -- *drei* Kinder sind hier“ korrigiert Chrigel belustigt, als wir mit grossen Kulleraugen in die Erwachsenenrunde blicken. Wie können die Leute nur meinen, dass ‚Kinder nur halbfertige Menschen sind, die noch viel lernen müssen‘, denke ich mir. Ich befinde mich auf Augenhöhe mit ihnen an der Bar und wir erzählen uns Geschichten und was wir alles erlebt haben. Mit der Zeit vergesse ich, dass ich überhaupt mit Kindern rede, so natürlich ist unser Gespräch. Einzig das Horn, dass oben seine Runden dreht, erinnert mich wieder daran.

„Moment, ich muss schnell kurz erwachsen werden“ sage ich zu den Mädchen und stehe auf. Ein Horn gefüllt mit Honigwein -- mmmh! Ich nehme einen Schluck und gebe es weiter. Ach wie praktisch. Jetzt kann ich wählen -- Erwachsen sein, wenn es Met gibt -- und dann wieder herunterknien und auf Augenhöhe mit den Kindern reden. „Guckt mal“ sage ich zu ihnen und halte meine Taschenlampe unten an die Bilz-Flasche.
