Urheberrecht wird in der EU drastisch verschärft
Das Europaparlament hat die heftig umkämpfte Reform des Urheberrechts in der EU gebilligt. Das Plenum stimmte am Dienstag in Strassburg für einen Kompromiss, auf den sich Unterhändler des Parlaments und der EU-Staaten zuvor geeinigt hatten. Ziel ist es, das Urheberrecht in der EU an das Zeitalter des Internets anzupassen. Dazu sollen Google, YouTube und Co. verpflichtet werden, Inhalte zu entfernen, für die sie von den Urhebern keine Lizenz erhalten haben.
Schwarzer Tag für die Netzfreiheit: Das @Europarl_DE hat die Urheberrechtsreform mit #Artikel13 und #Artikel11 abgenickt. Änderungsanträge zur Urheberrechtsreform wurden gar nicht erst zugelassen. Das finale Abstimmungsergebnis: 348 dafür, 274 dagegen #SaveYourInternet pic.twitter.com/EPPrVH7jNt

Kritiker befürchten, dass solche Filter, die nicht genehmigte Inhalte automatisch entfernen, letztlich zur Zensur führen und die Freiheit im Internet gefährden werden.
