Rui Gato hat den Zusammenhang zwischen Geometrie und Musik untersucht und sich mit TouchDesigner ein Instrument programmiert. Genial!

Eine zusammengesetzte Form aus dem Fünfeck. Die Figur rotiert, und immer, wenn ein Punkt die grüne Linie trifft, gibt es einen Ton. Die Tonhöhe ist abhängig vom Abstand von der Mitte.
Modulo 5, 6, 7 auf das Muster anwenden lässt phantastische Harmonien entstehen!
Hier ist ein schon etwas komplexeres Musikstück mit unterschiedlich schnell drehenden Formen. Rhythmus und Melodie, allein erzeugt durch Geometrie!
Der Tanz zwischen Erde und Venus. Der Mittelpunkt des Abstands erzeugt dieses Muster, und alle 8 Jahre fängt es wieder von vorne an.
Rui Gato hat das natürlich in seinem Programm nachgebaut und zeigt vor, wie es klingt.
Im Hintergrund sind komplex verschachtelte TouchDesigner-Funktionen am Werk und am Ende sendet ein Pythonskript Midi-Noten zurück ins Ableton.
Die Fragerunde artet in eine philosophische Diskussion aus.
Im Ableton sind Muster gespeichert, die im TouchDesigner dargestellt werden, die dann wiederum ins Ableton gesendet werden und Musik erzeugen.
In uns sind Muster gespeichert, die auf der formgebenden Ebene dargestellt werden und im Leben Erfahrungen erzeugen.
So, wie Ableton mit TouchDesigner verbunden ist, können wir uns mit der Quelle verbinden, um dann mitzugestalten.
Dieser Vortrag ist ein Paradebeispiel, wie man durch beobachten der Natur und erforschen von Zusammenhängen etwas über die Mechanismen im Universum erfahren kann.
