Monitoring mal richtig
- Zwei Go-Binaries, direkt ausführbar: prometheus und node_exporter
- node_exporter: Läuft auf dem System, von dem man Monitoringwerte auslesen will und stellt sie zur Verfügung
- prometheus: Monitoring-Dienst, der die Werte von allen node_exportern holt und speichert
In diesem Beispiel:
- node_exporter hat „textfile collectors“ aktiviert
- holt sich Textdateien im Verzeichnis /var/lib/textfile_collectors
- Debian-Version wird als Text in dieses Verzeichnis gespeichert, kann von beliebigen Skripts erstellt werden
- node_exporter stellt seine Werte unter http://zielhost:9000/metrics zur Verfügung
- unser erstellter Wert wird nun dort angezeigt
Dann auf dem Monitoringserver:
- Starte prometheus -config.file=prometheus.yml
- prometheus.yml: Welche Hosts und wie oft?
- Prometheus-Interface läuft auf http://monitoringserver:9090
- debian_version ist dort verfügbar
Optional:
- Alertmanager: Mehrstufige Alarmierung mit Eskalationsebenen, Trendalarmierung (=wenn der Speicherplatz so weiterschrumpft wie jetzt, haben wir in X Tagen keinen Platz mehr; Alarm!)
- Grafana: Grafische Darstellung aller Werte; konfigurierbar, beliebige Zeiträume und Werte in der Vergangenheit vergleichen
