Zum Beispiel hat in Mexiko die Polizei in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Militär einen Schulbus angegriffen und alle Schüler ermordet.

Die 3D-Rekonstruktion zeigt, was man auf den Autobahnkameras gesehen hätte, wenn sie nicht von der Polizei entfernt worden wären:

Auf Facebook landen unmerkliche Fotos von Gebäuden und Helis irgendwo in der Wüste. Mithilfe von Zeugenaussagen, Satellitenaufnahmen und diesen Bildern wird ein 3D-Modell konstruiert, und es kommt heraus, dass amerikanische Soldaten die Sicherheitskräfte vor Ort trainieren. An diesem Ort wird auch gefoltert.

Die Form der Rauchwolke identifiziert ein Bombardement.

Verschiedene Bilder werden übereinandergelegt, der Winkel auf der Karte eingezeichnet, und schon kann der Standort des Bombardements bestimmt werden.

Glücklicherweise hat der Kameramann am Schluss der Aufnahme ein wenig herausgezoomt und wir sehen die Säulen, wie sie ihre Schatten werfen… Wir bauen das Modell in 3D nach, bestimmen den Sonnenstand und finden die exakte Uhrzeit.

Dieses Bombardement wurde mit der gleichen Kamera aufgenommen wie ein Früheres. Auf der Kameralinse befindet sich der gleiche Kratzer.

Ist eine Referenzgrösse bestimmt, kann man die restlichen Bildobjekte vermessen. Bei der Bombe handelt es sich um eine amerikanische Mk84 mit 1’000kg Sprengstoff.
