Nach den beiden Vorträgen setzt sich Eneas zu mir. „Ich könnte einen Snack vertragen.“ „Gute Idee! Ein Crepe oder so“, antworte ich ihm. Kannst du mir auch gleich eins bringen? Ich geb dir das Geld mit. „Hold on…“ und hält zwei grüne Volunteer-Gutscheine auf.
Nach der kleinen Zwischenverpflegung begutachtet er meine neue Kamera. „Jopp, das Display kann man jetzt kippen, und da ist ein externes Mikrofon, mit Windschutzfilter. Weil an jedem zweiten Videokurs wird gesagt: Audio is King.“
Links am Rand haben Lex und Vickie Platz genommen und ich setze mich zu ihnen. Lex erzählt, wie die Gesellschaft in London total zerrottet. Die Leute sind richtig paranoid, wenn man auf sie zugeht. Ist ja auch kein Wunder, mit so vielen Überwachungskameras. Die Waldbrände in Portugal, das ist nur, weil ein Schutzsaum aus (Farn? Effeu? An den genauen Namen kann ich mich nicht mehr erinnern) verkleinert oder ganz weggelassen wurde, und das, weil einige Politiker damit mehr Geld verdienen wollten. Wieder einmal mehr. So konnte sich das Waldbrandfeuer ausbreiten, hat ein paar Menschen eingekesselt, die einen fürchterlichen Tod gestorben sind. Familien. „Das hätte ich sein können – eine lokale Bäuerin dort. Ja. That could have been me.“ erzählt Vickie besorgt. Und dann gibt es die Spielregeln der EU. „Oh Gott, diese verdammte EU, schon wieder! Als ob die von Brüssel aus die lokalen Gegebenheiten von Portugal kennen? Sie tun es nicht. Und jetzt sind schon wieder Menschen gestorben wegen diesem irren Imperialkonstrukt.“ werfe ich ein.
„Komm, lass uns Fotos vom Gelände machen. Willst du die neue Kamera?“
„Vorsicht, hier könnte es amigs Skorpione unter den Steinen haben.“ warnt er mich, als wir zum Strand kommen. „Ich habe in all den drei Boomfestivals noch kein einziges Skorpion gesehen.“ Am Infostand ist ein Plastikshredder aufgestellt und daneben ein 3D-Drucker. Die PET-Flaschen werden eingedampft, und daraus entsteht wieder etwas Neues. „Wo willst du jetzt hin?“ fragt er mich. „Zum Sacred Fire. Ist schliesslich Arschkalt und es bläst immer noch ein steifer Wind.“
Wir treffen ein. Der Platz der Feuermeisterin ist frei und wir setzen uns hin. „In 30 Minuten ist hier ein Ritual“ teilt uns jemand mit. Oh – dann sind wir ja gerade rechtzeitig gekommen!
Eneas‘ Sandalen rutschen auf dem Sand ganz langsam ab. Ich stubse sie noch ein wenig an. Keine Reaktion. Hmm, seltsam. Früher konnte ich ihn anstubsen, und dann ist er sofort darauf eingestiegen, bis es in eine Kitzelorgie ausgeartet ist. Doch jetzt sitzt er gedankenversunken da. „Ich gehe zurück.“ Oh? Jetzt wo das Ritual startet? Aber ok… Dann bis später!
In weiter Ferne sehe ich ihn davonziehen, bis er schliesslich im Dharmazelt ganz verschwindet.
Mehr und mehr Menschen nehmen am Sacred Fire Platz. Neben mir sitzt jetzt jemand anderes.
Die Sonne neigt sich dem Horizont zu. Satya trifft ein, sie wird die Zeremonie leiten. Vier Musiker nehmen hinter mir Platz. Wow, und ich am Platz der Feuermeisterin. Vorderste Reihe, Logenplatz!
