Google plant den Dialog mit den Nutzern. Dafür sollen Mikrofone in Wohnungen angebracht werden. In Zukunft kann ein Chip am Körper den direkten Kontakt mit dem Unternehmen herstellen. Ein bestechender Gedanke – der allerdings auch all jenen gefallen dürfte, die für den Zugriff auf private Daten bereit sind, jeden Preis zu bezahlen.
Wenn es nach dem Internet-Giganten Google geht, dann gehört die Suche über Display oder Tastatur bald der Vergangenheit an. Stattdessen sollen die Nutzer in einen direkten Dialog mit der Suchmaschine treten und dadurch noch bessere Ergebnisse erhalten. Ermöglicht werden soll der direkte Kontakt über Mikrofone in allen Räumen des Hauses und über Mikrochips im Kopf der Nutzer. Dies sagte der leitende Ingenieur von Google, Scott Huffman, dem Independent.
„Stellen Sie sich vor, ich könnte zu einem Mikrofon im Raum sagen: ‚ Zeig mir die Zusammenfassung des gestrigen Football-Spiels auf dem Fernseher im Wohnzimmer‘. Und es funktioniert, da durch die Cloud alles miteinander verbunden ist“, sagt Huffman.
Da die Mikrofone in der Decke eines Raumes jede Form der verbalen Kommunikation abhören, können sie daraus gezielte Anfragen der Nutzer ableiten. Durch eine ständige Internetverbindung werden die Antworten in Sekundenschnelle gesucht und dem Nutzer in verbaler Form präsentiert.
„Ich könnte meinen Google-Assistenten fragen: ‚Wo gibt es ein französisches Restaurant, das nicht zu teuer ist? ‘. Und Google würde sagen: ‚Okay, wir gehen zu diesem Ort‘. Und wenn ich in mein Auto steige, navigiert es schon zu diesem Restaurant. Wir sind begeistert von der Idee, dass verschiedene Geräte miteinander kommunizieren“, so Huffman.
Google würde auch die Alltagsplanung der Nutzer übernehmen und Sie an wichtige Termine wie z.B. Verabredungen oder Flüge erinnern.
„Es würde Sie unterbrechen und sagen: ‚Sie müssen jetzt gehen‘ – genau wie ein guter persönlicher Assistent“, so Huffman.
Die Zukunft von Suchmaschine liege darin, die Suchanfragen von Nutzern automatisch hervorzusagen und hoch-personalisierte Ergebnisse zu liefern. Dazu arbeitet Huffman mit seinem Team an Linguistik-Programmen, die die komplexe menschliche Kommunikation verstehen und verarbeiten können. Sie versuchen die Interaktion zwischen Mensch und Maschine der menschlichen Kommunikation näher zu bringen.
„In fünf Jahren werden wir diese Art von Konversation mit Google haben und es wird sich ganz natürlich anfühlen. Google wird so antworten wie es eine echte Person tun würde“, so Huffman.
Dabei spielt auch die rasante Entwicklung von Computern und Mikrochips eine tragende Rolle.
„Rechenleistung wird so billig, dass es unvermeidbar sein wird, zu jeder Zeit von vernetzten Geräten umgeben zu sein. Das reicht von einem Chip in der Jacke, zum Auto bis hin zu Google-Glass“, so Huffman.
Die Missbrauchsmöglichkeiten dieser Technologie sind enorm. Google könnte seine Nutzer nicht mehr nur zu jeder Zeit lokalisieren, sondern wüsste auch bis ins letzte Detail über deren Tagesablauf bescheid. Doch diese Datenschutzbedenken versucht der Google-Ingenieur zu entkräften.
„Wir nehmen Privatsphäre und Sicherheit sehr ernst. Unser Ziel ist es, die Nutzerdaten privat zu halten und sie nur in einer Weise zu nutzen, die dem Nutzer dient. Wenn ich Google nach Reisedaten frage, dann sucht es für mich eine Reiseroute heraus und bedient sich dabei meiner Hotel-Reservierungs-Email. Ich vertraue also Google mit diesen Daten und bekomme im Gegenzug einen Wert dafür“, sagte Huffman.
Das Google mit den Daten seiner Nutzer nicht immer so vorsichtig umgeht, stellte die Firma erst vor kurzem unter Beweis. Sie gab Nutzerdaten und Profile direkt an die NSA weiter (mehr hier).
Zudem glaubt Google, dass es die Datenbedürfnisse seiner Nutzer zukünftig besser befriedigen könnte, wenn es die Daten direkt an einen Mikrochip am Körper sendet. Die Forschung in diese Richtung sei schon weit fortgeschritten.
„Wenn Sie angestrengt an einen bestimmten Begriff denken, dann können Sensoren das ziemlich einfach aufgreifen. Es wird interessant sein zu sehen, wie sich das weiterentwickelt.“, so Huffman.
