Das Fenster ist offen, ein leiser Windzug rauscht angenehm um meinen Hals. Kühl – vielleicht etwas zu kühl. Ich ziehe die Decke hoch.
Am nächsten Morgen beklagen sich die Mitschlafenden über Genickstarre. Ich spüre kaum merklich was.
Auf dem Heimweg am Abend. Gerade aus dem Bus ausgestiegen, laufe ich die Strasse runter. Oh, ist heute Vollmond? Ich schaue hoch. Und…
*KNACKS*
Gefühlt ein Teil meiner Wirbelsäule bohrt sich in das Rückenmark. Die Halsmuskeln ziehen sich an wie Drahtseile und lassen nicht mehr los. Ich schaue nicht mehr nach oben, nicht mehr nach links, nicht mehr nach rechts, nicht mehr nach unten. Und das eine ganze Nacht lang. Handgestütztes Kopfdrehen im Bett, oder die Drahtseile verpassen mir einen Schlag. Eine gute Gelegenheit, mal den Chiropraktiker kennenzulernen. Da war ich nämlich noch nie, hab aber immer davon gehört, dass der in zwei Minuten seine Patienten mit einem lauten Knacks heilen kann.
Da war ich nun.
Und wisst ihr, was diese Genickstarre verursacht hat? Da kommt ihr nieeee drauf!
Der Kauapparat.
Die linken hinteren und rechten vorderen Halsmuskeln sind schwächer als die linken vorderen und rechten hinteren. Diese Asymmetrie kann Genickstarre auslösen.
Ich soll mich auf diesen Tisch legen. Er drückt mein Bein nach unten, ich soll dagegen drücken. Gut, und jetzt dasselbe nochmal, aber diesmal mit weit aufgerissenem Mund (!! :D)
Er drückt nicht mehr so stark. Falsch, ich sei stärker (!! 😯 )
Jetzt dasselbe mit dem anderen Bein. Mund normal. Dagegendrücken. Puh – mein Bein klappt nach unten. Drück doch nicht so stark!
Zweiter Versuch, diesmal den Unterkiefer fest nach rechts pressen. Wow, mein Bein ist stärker! Was sind denn das für Cheats?
Er klopft noch ein, zwei mal mit einem Hämmerchen auf meinen Unterkiefer. Das war’s, ich sei geheilt.
Wow.
Die Nackenschmerzen sind zwar noch (sanft) da, aber die werden bald vorbei sein. Ich fühle mich so neu kalibriert. Ich stehe jetzt irgendwie symmetrischer auf dem Boden. Die beiden Zahnreihen links und rechts sind jetzt ebenfalls gleich hoch kräftig.
Ein Chiropraktor wendet sanften, kontrollierten und gezielten Druck an den verschiedensten Bereichen der Wirbelsäule an, um die Biomechanik der Wirbelsäule und die Funktion des Nervensystems wieder herzustellen.
Ziel ist es, alle Probleme zu berichtigen, die sich mit dem Fluss von Informationen zu und von dem Gehirn ergeben können. Eine Unterbrechung dieses kritischen Kommunikationssystems kann Symptome von Schmerz bis Krankheit produzieren.
Je nachdem wie chronisch das Problem ist, muss der Chiropraktor ein oder eine Serie von „Adjustments“ anwenden, um die richtige schmerzfreie Bewegung wiederherzustellen. Durch Aufdecken und Berichtigen von neuromuskulären Funktionsstörungen des Rückgrates in seinem Frühstadium, kann ein Chiropraktor gezielt bei offensichtlich skelett- oder muskulär bedingten Problemen helfen. Er kann so dem Klienten in der Herstellung einer heilsamen körpereigenen Antwort beistehen, während der möglicherweise vorhandene Gewebeschaden noch minimal und umkehrbar ist.
WIE. GEIL. IST. DENN. DAS.
Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass mein rechtes Bein stärker wird, wenn ich den Unterkiefer nach rechts presse. Und das das ganze Ungleichgewicht eine Nackenstarre auslösen kann.
Das ist SO awesome! Ganz ohne chemische Mittel, in ganzheitlicher Betrachtungsweise. Es geht ums aufdecken von Blockaden, von Fehlkonfigurationen. Was da alles einen Zusammenhang haben kann… Erinnert mich an den Flügelschlag des Schmetterlings, der einen Tornado auslöst.
Und wieder einmal mehr wäre bewiesen, dass mit der Arbeit mit dem vegetativen Nervensystem oder dem Unterbewusstsein ganz viel erreicht werden kann. Nämlich Heilung. Und nicht Unterdrückung.
