Vor einem Jahr: Die Welt in 20 Jahren

So sieht die Welt in 19 Jahren aus:

• Lady Gaga ist tot.
• Facebook ist konkurs.
• Das Internet ist offen, frei und überall gratis verfügbar.
• Alle Dienste im Internet werden dezentral gebildet.
• Es gibt Raumenergiekonverter für jeden Block.
• Jedes Land ist unabhängig und vielfältig. Es gibt keine Zusammenschlüsse und Bünde mehr wie die EU oder UNO.
• Wir leben in einer Duocracy.
• Entscheidungen werden im Konsens gefällt und haben nur auf die unmittelbare Region bzw. die unmittelbaren betroffenen einen Einfluss.
• Es gibt keine Einkaufszentren mehr, sondern Dorflädeli.
• Händler transportieren Waren von Stadt zu Stadt.
• Unternehmen arbeiten nicht mehr gegeneinander, sondern miteinander und ergänzen sich.
• SAP und JVM werden in einen Hundezwinger gesperrt, wo sie hilflos mit Exceptions um sich schmeissen bis sie sterben.
• Man gibt gerne Geld aus, weil man’s hat, und weil man etwas schönes in der Welt schaffen will.
• Fähige Architekten bauen prunkvolle Tempelanlagen mit Baustil, welche sich harmonisch in die Natur integrieren.
• Es gibt mindestens zwei Sorten von Tempelanlagen:
• Techniktempel aka Hackerspaces, wo sich kreative Köpfe versammeln und an Projekten werkeln,
• Einweihungstempel; wo die Mysterien des Universums gelehrt werden und nach der Frage auf die Antwort nach dem Leben, dem Universum und dem ganzen Rest gesucht wird.
• Lernen durch Nachahmung: Es gibt auf jedem Gebiet begeisterte Spezialisten, denen man über die Schulter schauen kann.
• Man macht, was man liebt. Es gibt keine Papierli und Verdummungsanstalten mehr.
• Bildung ist kein Zwang, sondern eine Leidenschaft, getrieben durch Neugier und Experimentierfreude.
• Man darf alles tun, alles kopieren, neu zusammenfügen, forschen.
• Patente sind ein übles Relikt aus der Vergangenheit.
• Arbeit ist freiwillig. Jeder hat genug zum leben.
• Graffiti ist Kunst und wird frei ausgelebt.
• Es gibt Schwebeplattformen, auf denen man dann in der Stratosphäre mit dem Gleitschirm starten kann
• Die Drachen feiern ihre Renaissance und leben unter den Menschen. Sie spucken Feuer, beschützen uns und lassen sich bereiten.
• Nebst normalen Reisezentren gibt es zwei zusätzliche:
• Ein intergalaktisches Reisezentrum, wo sich Heerscharen mutiger Helden treffen, um Hilferufen von anderen Planeten nachzugehen #Abenteuer
• Das Reisezentrum innerer Welten, wo man mithilfe psychedelischer Substanzen Reisen in die Abgründe der eigenen Psyche und in die Tiefen der Seele unternimmt.
• Ich habe ein eigenes Nullgravitationsraumschiff mit eigener Heimbasis. Ausgestattet mit einem präkognitiven Radar, Elementarkonverter, Hyperraumantrieb, Unsichtbarkeitsschild und allerlei feinem technischen Schnickschnack.
• Mein Hausdrache lebt in seiner Drachenhöhle. Wir wohnen ja direkt am Rande eines aktiven Vulkans :), wo es schön warm ist.
• Der Drache begleitet mich, wie auch gute Freunde, auf meinen Abenteuerreisen.
• Es gibt viel zu bereisen, zu erforschen und zu entdecken. Andere Sternenvölker, experimentelle Technologien, ferne Welten.
• Ich freue mich! Das wird episch!

Ein Handtuch ist so ungefähr das Nützlichste, was der interstellare Anhalter besitzen kann. Einmal ist es von großem praktischem Wert – man kann sich zum Wärmen darin einwickeln, wenn man über die kalten Monde von Jaglan Beta hüpft; man kann an den leuchtenden Marmorsandstränden von Santraginus V darauf liegen, wenn man die berauschenden Dämpfe des Meeres einatmet; man kann unter den so rot glühenden Sternen in den Wüsten von Kakrafoon darunter schlafen; man kann es als Segel an einem Minifloß verwenden, wenn man den trägen, bedächtig strömenden Moth-Fluss hinuntersegelt, und nass ist es eine ausgezeichnete Nahkampfwaffe; man kann es sich vors Gesicht binden, um sich gegen schädliche Gase zu schützen oder dem Blick des Gefräßigen Plapperkäfers von Traal zu entgehen (ein zum Verrücktwerden dämliches Vieh, es nimmt an, wenn du es nicht siehst, kann es dich auch nicht sehen – bescheuert wie eine Bürste, aber sehr, sehr gefräßig); bei Gefahr kann man sein Handtuch als Notsignal schwenken und sich natürlich damit abtrocknen, wenn es dann noch sauber genug ist.

Was jedoch noch wichtiger ist: ein Handtuch hat einen immensen psychologischen Wert. Wenn zum Beispiel ein Strag (Strag = Nicht-Anhalter) dahinter kommt, dass ein Anhalter sein Handtuch bei sich hat, wird er automatisch annehmen, er besäße auch Zahnbürste, Waschlappen, Seife, Keksdose, Trinkflasche, Kompass, Landkarte, Bindfadenrolle, Insektenspray, Regenausrüstung, Raumanzug usw, usw. Und der Strag wird dann dem Anhalter diese oder ein Dutzend andere Dinge bereitwilligst leihen, die der Anhalter zufällig gerade “verloren” hat. Der Strag denkt natürlich, dass ein Mann, der kreuz und quer durch die Galaxis trampt, ein hartes Leben führt, in die dreckigsten Winkel kommt, gegen schreckliche Übermächte kämpft, sich schließlich an sein Ziel durchschlägt und trotzdem noch weiß, wo sein Handtuch ist, eben ein Mann sein muss, auf den man sich verlassen kann.

Schon vor etwas längerer Zeit habe ich mir ein Arduino Basis Bausatz  geholt, da ich vor hatte ein wenig damit zu experimentieren.  Bedauerlicherweise ist dieses Experiment mangels Zeit viel zu schnell in einer Ecke verstaubt und liegengeblieben. Motivation den Bausatz wieder hervorzuholen bekam ich tatsächlich an der Easterhegg, da dort einfach zu viele Leute mit diesen Dingern experimentierten und ich dadurch automatisch mit einer Portion Neugier und unterbewussten Inspirationen konfrontiert wurde. Dort habe ich mir dann auch eine 8×32 LED Matrix von Sure Electronis gekauft mit der Hoffnung dieses Ding auch irgendwann zum Laufen zu kriegen. Knapp 3 Wochen ist es nun her seit ich Dank einigen Recherchen im Netz eine funktionierende LED Matrix mit Schriftzug habe 😉

Das Ergebnis und wie Ihr ebenfalls eine LED Matrix mit fahrendem Schriftzug in Betrieb nehmen könnt möchte ich hier mit euch teilen 😀

Twilight Sparkle hat von Prinzessin Celestia den Auftrag, in Equestria die Freundschaft zu studieren. Äußerliche Erkennungsmerkmale sind ihr lila Fell, ihre blaue Mähne mit pinken und violetten Strähnen und ihr magisches Horn auf der Stirn.

Was für ein sympathischer Haufen Ponies! Jedes mit seiner Charaktereigenschaft und seinem («cutie mark»); ein Symbol, welches oberhalb des Hüftgelenks erscheint, sobald das Pony seine individuelle Gabe in sich entdeckt hat.

Das Ding ganz oben ist Rainbow Dash. Sie ist ein Pegasus-Pony und hat die Aufgabe, den Himmel von Wolken freizuhalten, sofern dies erwünscht ist. Dabei probiert sie immer wieder neue Flugmanöver aus, denn sie möchte einmal der berühmten Fliegertruppe „Wonderbolts“ beitreten. Von den sechs Elementen der Harmonie verkörpert sie die Treue.

Oder das schüüche Fluttershy:

Sie ist bekannt für ihre Schüchternheit und Tierliebe. Sie kümmert sich um die Tiere in Ponyville, vor allem um ihr Häschen Angel. Ihr Element der Harmonie ist die Freundlichkeit.

Die Elemente der Harmonie sind magische Artefakte; von denen Twilight Sparkle und ihre Freunde je eines repräsentieren. Die Uralt-Serie „My little Pony“ ist ein Stück Internet-Kultur. Und wie so viel Internet-Kultur begann alles bei 4chan, einer anarchischen Webseite, wo jeder Bilder posten kann, anonym und unkontrolliert. Irgendwann tauchten die pastellfarbenen Ponys auf, wurden kommentiert, montiert und mutierten zu Ikonen der Netzkultur:

„Dadurch, dass sie Freundschaft schließen und zusammen denken können, lösen sie ihre Probleme. Und das ist es, was eigentlich das Netz auch ausmacht. Verschiedenste Charaktere denken zusammen über Probleme nach und lösen sie. Und das ist eigentlich das gleiche – nur abgebildet auf Ponys.“

Sympathisch. Ich konnte mich sowieso noch nie mit den Erwachsenen anfreunden.

Alle Unix-Tools, welche die Speicherplatzsituation (RAM) des Systems ausweisen, zeigen nach einer gewissen Laufzeit beim freien Speicher nur noch Bruchteile des gesamten verfügbaren Speichers an – auch wenn die laufenden Prozesse in Wirklichkeit gar nicht so viel Speicher benötigen und eigentlich viel mehr freier Speicher vorhanden ist.

Warum ist das so?

Linux hält alle Daten, die es mal von der Festplatte gelesen hat, im RAM auf Abruf bereit. Diese Daten – genannt «disk cache» – sind eigentlich freier Speicher, welcher freigegeben wird, sobald ein Programm ihn benötigt.

Leider verfälscht das die Anzeige des gesamthaft freien Speichers unter Linux.

Das Java-Geschwür gibt sich wie immer allergrösste Mühe, alle verfügbaren Systemressourcen für sich zu beanspruchen. Aber sein Speicher wurde auf 4 GB limitiert. Trotzdem zeigt top an, dass von den 12 GB Memory nur noch etwa 400 MB frei sind.

Abhilfe

Alle aktiven Prozesse auflisten, und deren effektiven Speicherverbrauch zusammenzählen.

Das Kommando ps auxc listet alle aktiven Prozesse auf. Darunter auch die Spalte RSS – Resident set size, the non-swapped physical memory that a task has used (in Kilobytes)
