Die Erde kann pro Person jährlich rund eine Tonne CO2 (Kohlendioxid) verkraften. Derzeit verursacht aber jeder einzelne Schweizer alleine elf Tonnen CO2. Und das jedes Jahr!

Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie bringen anstatt einem einzigen Koffer ganze elf zum Check-In… Keine Frage, die Fluggesellschaft wird die zehn überzähligen Koffer stehen lassen bzw. Sie werden dafür extra bezahlen müssen. Leider hat die Erde in der gleichen Situation keine Wahl.

Dass es auf unserem Planeten wärmer wird, hat zwar einen anderen Grund – mehr dazu aber später. Dennoch müssen wir unsere Erde nicht sinnlos verschmutzen! Wir sind schliesslich Gast hier; dieser Planet gehört nicht uns – etwas mehr Respekt gegenüber der allmächtigen Natur wäre angebracht.

Und ganz oben (unten 😛 ) auf der Liste: Autos. Das war ja SOO klar!
Da bin ich als führerscheinloser, solarstrombeziehender MacBook-Benutzer ja ganz weit vorne 🙂 *ego-aufduns-aber-das-ist-mir-egal*

Irgendwie scheint sich auch niemand gross darum zu kümmern, OB man Autofahren will/muss. Es „gehört“ einfach dazu. Jeder fährt Auto. Diese Frage wird gar nicht mehr gestellt. Das „braucht“ man einfach, es ist „flexibler“.
Mir kommt gleich die Galle hoch…

Wie flexibel ist das denn, wenn man stundenlang im Stau steckt? Keinen Parkplatz findet? Jährlich 6000.- abdrücken muss und dabei noch keinen einzigen Kilometer gefahren ist? 6000.- … Das ist ein 1. Klass GA – aber locker!! Und bis jetzt bin ich noch überallhin gekommen mit dem Zug.

Ein anderer Grund, der mich persönlich vom Autofahren fernhält: Das Öl. Warum werden Kriege geführt? Aha.
Das grösste Paradoxon sind Friedensaktivisten mit Führerausweis.

Autofahren, Führerausweis – Nein, ohne mich. Ich will mit dem Führer nichts zu tun haben.

In letzter Zeit kam ein angenehmer Trend auf in der IT: Green-IT. Nicht mehr schneller, sondern umweltschonender lautet jetzt das Motto. Möglichst stromsparende und umweltverträgliche Komponenten verwenden. Nachdem Apple ja mal heftig kritisiert wurde, sie würden umweltschädliche Stoffe in ihren Produkten verwenden, zeigt sich heute ein anderes Bild:

Der Umweltschutz hat oberste Priorität, wenn es darum geht, wertvolle natürliche Rohstoffe und ein intaktes Ökosystem unseres Planeten zu erhalten. Apple agiert global und ist sich seiner Verantwortung für die Umwelt bewusst. Deshalb setzen wir uns nachhaltig dafür ein, die Auswirkungen unserer Aktivitäten und Produkte auf die Umwelt zu verringern.
