Swiftfox: Firefox on speed
I thought my „gosh look at this sweet piece of code!“-days were over. That was until I beheld Swiftfox. It’s an optimized version of Firefox, specifically compiled and tweaked for your processor on Linux.
- Add the repository to /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://getswiftfox.com/builds/debian unstable non-free- Install from a terminal window as root using the correct package name:
apt-get update && apt-get install swiftfox-prescott

naja, es isch immer no firefox. es bruucht sogar die gliichi cofig-dir, also blibe alli extensions installiert wenn de wächlisch. si hän das teil eifach für mehreri prozis speziell kompilliert und pipelining aagstellt…
ich freu mi uf die neui ff-javascript-engine. die kickt ass. au em chrome sinis btw

es isch luschtig. firefox isch am afang vor allem beliebt gsi, wills schlank und schnell gsi isch. mit jeder neue grosse version entfernts sichs vo dem. ergo: me bruecht wieder tweak tools. jajaja…. isch wohl wie überall, es goht uf- und abwärts ;D
