Auf der Suche nach Serials ist mir ein Banner aufgefallen:

Wohlgemerkt: Da steht „Bern“ auf einer Ami-Seite! Das Banner schaut also, von woher man kommt.

Doch es kommt noch dicker: Als ich draufgeklickt habe, zeigte mein auth.log folgende Einträge:

Das ist ja ganz perfid! Sobald ich also auf einen zwielichten Banner klicke, wird meine IP-Adresse an einen Server weitergegeben, der dann an meine 65’000 Türen klopft. Da Tür Nummer 22 offen ist, versuchen verschiedene komische Benutzer da reinzukommen.

Seit der Server läuft, bekam ich Besuch von etwa 12’000 verschiedenen Benutzern – bis jetzt kam noch keiner rein. (Sowieso müssten die dann noch das Passwort herausfinden…)

Doch Unwohl ist es mir trotzdem dabei. Um dem ein bisschen entgegenzuwirken, habe ich die Tür Nummer 22 mit einem kleinen Zauberspruch belegt. Kommt ein Benutzer, den der Server nicht kennt, wird die Tür sofort geschlossen und bleibt für diese Adresse für immer verschlossen.

Das ist der erste Teil. Jetzt müssen wir noch die bösen IPs herauszufinden:

Der erste Teil ist Teil des Firewall-Skripts. Wenn es jede Minute ausgeführt wird, hat ein Angreifer maximal eine Minute, um den Benutzernamen herauszufinden. Selbst wenn er es schafft – für das Passwort bleibt dann keine Zeit mehr.
