Ich wollte schon immer mal verschlüsselte Partitionen erstellen. Oder noch besser: Verschlüsselte Diskimages. Damit sich der MLDonkey dort drin austoben kann und das FBI bei einer Hausdurchsuchung nichts findet… 😛

Hier das Ergebnis von einem Abend lang Handbücher durchwühlen:

Diskimage erstellen

dd if=/dev/zero of=image.dat bs=1m count=5
Erstellt ein image.dat, 5MB gross

mdconfig -a -t vnode -f image.dat -u 6
Hängt image.dat an /dev/md6

Verwurschtelung aktivieren

gbde init /dev/md6 -L /very/safe/place/lockfile
Das Lockfile ist wie ein Schlüssel; nur mit ihm und dem Passwort kann auf das Volume zugegriffen werden!

gbde attach /dev/md6 -l /very/safe/place/lockfile
Aktivier das ganze mit dem Lockfile

Hubbedischwupp – ein Klartextdevice ward geboren: /dev/md6.bde

bsdlabel -w md6.bde auto
Macht sowas wie Partitionen…

newfs md6.bdea
Erstellt ein Filesystem

Judihui: mount /dev/md6.bdea /mnt/mydrive

Wartung

Mounten
mdconfig -a -t vnode -f image.dat -u 6
gbde attach /dev/md6 -l /very/safe/place/lockfile
mount /dev/md6.bdea /mnt/mydrive

Unmounten
umount /mnt/mydrive
gbde detach /dev/md6
mdconfig -d -u 6
