Bilder sagen mehr als tausend Worte. Sagt man zumindest. Bei mir sagen Töne mehr als tausend Bilder. Ein Geräusch lässt sich also nicht in Millionen von Worten beschreiben…
Ein Bild anschauen ist eine Sache – aber wenn ich mit geschlossenen Augen vergangenen Umgebungsgeräuschen zuhöre, die ich damals aufgenommen habe, dann wird meine Phantasie und Vorstellungskraft viel mehr angeregt. Es ist ja auch in Filmen so, dass erst die Musik und die Geräusche einen Film spannend machen – besonders bei Horrorfilmen.

Und deshalb haben Geräusche, Töne und Klänge für mich einen hohen Wert. Früher konservierte ich die Klangatmosphäre mit einem Relikt aus vergangenen Zeiten: Dem guten alten Kassettenrecorder.

Die Qualität ist natürlich entsprechend… Trotzdem sind die damaligen Aufnahmen auch heute noch lustig anzuhören – zum Beispiel die selbst gemachten Hörspiele aus ganz früheren Zeiten: Ich und Yves hatten damals selbsterfundene Geschichten auf Tonband aufgenommen, mit Geräuschen erzeugt aus Haushaltgegenständen gefärbt und mit Musik aus einem Plattenspieler untermalt. Damals hatten wir beide noch keinen Stimmbruch…
Oder unsere alljährlichen Aktivitäten am 1. August: Möglichst laute Kracher in Wohngebieten und Unterführungen sausen lassen (allein das Klang schon bemerkenswert auf den Aufnahmen), und abwarten bis irgend jemand motzen kommt. Stimmung, die sich mit Bildern nur schwer einfangen liesse…

Dann bekam ich einen MP3-Player mit eingebautem Mikrofon zum Geburtstag geschenkt. Von der Qualität her ein Quantensprung. Und dennoch war auch auf diesen Aufnahmen immer noch ein Grundrauschen zu hören.

Ich dachte mir: Das beste wäre doch, wenn es einen Recorder gäbe, der die Geräusche so wie sie in unsere Ohren dringen einfangen und aufnehmen würde. Also in jedem Ohr ein hochempfindliches Mikrofon.

Das beste ist: Das gibt es wirklich!

Ich bin zufällig auf einen Podcast gestossen. „Ohrenblicke“ von Jens Wenzel. Auch er ist von Geräuschen und Klängen fasziniert und nimmt seinen Recorder auf Schritt und tritt mit, um Ohrenblicke einzufangen. Mittlerweile ist seine Sammlung so gewachsen, dass er daraus einen Podcast gemacht hat – und der ist wirklich allererste Sahne! Hört mal rein:

Und in einer Sendung erwähnte er unter anderem das Soundman OKM II.
Es gab (oder gibt noch immer) Kunstkopf Mikrofone. Dabei wird der menschliche Kopf nachgebildet und in jedem Plastikohr steckt eine Mikrofonkapsel. Der Schall wird mit all den Reflexionen genau so wie beim menschlichen Gehör eingefangen. Denn es sind unsere Ohrmuscheln, die uns Geräusche orten lassen. Demzufolge tönen Aufnahmen aus einem Kunstkopfmikrofon umwerfend realistisch. Vorausgesetzt man hört die Aufnahme auch wieder über Kopfhörer, denn die einzelnen Kanäle dürfen sich nicht überlagern.

Der Unterschied vom OKM zum Kunstkopfmikrofon: Es ist ein OriginalKopfMikrofon, daher der Name OKM. Die Firma Soundman dachte sich: Warum extra einen Kunstkopf bauen, wenn doch jeder Mensch seinen Kopf immer mit sich rumträgt? Und genau so funktioniert es; man steckt sich einfach eine Mikrofonkapsel in die Ohren, und schon ist man bereit für räumliche Aufnahmen.

Klar, dass ich mir so ein Teil gleich besorgt habe. Auf der Herstellerseite gibt es ein paar schöne Hörbeispiele.

Mein Tipp: Vergesst alles über Mikrofone! Das Ding ist einfach der Hammer. Frequenzspektrum: 20Hz bis 20KHz. Und es ist so empfindlich, dass es noch kleinste Geräusche aufnimmt. Ausserdem ist es klein und mobil – jeder meint, man ist am Musikhören…
Für laute Konzertaufnahmen gibt es am dazugehörigen Adapter einen Schalter, mit dem sich die Empfindlichkeit um 20db reduzieren lässt. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf das nächste TAFS-Konzert… 😀

Szene 1: Ich steige aus dem Zug aus, die Rolltreppe hoch und laufe durch den Bahnhof SBB.
Szene 2: Fabrikanlage an der Birs in Aesch; das Plätschern ist sowas wie eine Unterwasser Schweissanlage.
Szene 3: Vor mir ein Bagger, hinter mir braust ein Lastwagen vorbei.
Szene 4: Links fährt ein Auto los, danach kommt ein Lastwagen mit Anhänger.
Szene 5: Der „Flirt“ am Bahnhof Aesch fährt los.
Szene 6: Auf dem Kirchenplatz vor dem Brunnen.

Krass oder? Als wäre man mittendrin. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen: Der Adapter hat manchmal Wackelkontakt – ich musste ihn zurückschicken und kann vorläufig keine Aufnahmen machen 🙁
