Nach langer, langer Wartezeit ist er nun doch angekommen: Der GPS-Empfänger. Erstaunlich, man sagt doch immer, dass die Kombination „Amerika, eBay & Kreditkarte“ nicht funktioniert. Tut sie doch – es dauert einfach seine Zeit…
Am 8. Mai bestellt & bezahlt, am 10. Mai ging das Paket auf die Reise – und am 25. Mai ist es angekommen.

Und seit Samstag bin ich wie wild am Geocachen – ist ja gleich 10x geiler mit GPS! Besonders die Multicaches, welche in mehrere Stationen aufgeteilt sind, machen einen Heidenspass. So muss man die Koordinaten eingeben und sich zum Wegpunkt begeben. Dort gilt es, z.B die Nummer eines Hydrants zu notieren. Das wäre dann A.
Bei der nächsten Station sind die Schrauben in einem Schild zu zählen; ergibt B. Und mit einer kleinen Rechenaufgabe erhält man schliesslich die Koordinaten zur nächsten Station, z.B. N47° 27.(3*B-A+112) E007° 36.(600-A+B).

Und jedesmal, wenn ich so einen Wegpunkt eingebe und dem GPS sage, es soll mich dorthin führen, ertönt die Stimme im Kopf: „Waypoint – Goto“ – da kommt echt Freelancer-Feeling auf! Die Pfeilanzeige und die verbleibende Reststrecke motivieren auch für lange Strecken. So bin ich am Samstag Abend bis nach Delemont gefahren – von Zwingen aus mit dem Velo!

Sieben Caches und ein Multicache habe ich bis jetzt gefunden – und es gibt noch sooo viele in der Umgebung!
