Hilfee, ich werde von Büchern erschlagen! Bücher, die ich schon lange vorbestellt habe und nun eintreffen.
Umfangreiche Lektüre, wirklich umfangreich… Selbst die Bibel ist vermutlich dünner. Das habe ich so nicht erwartet. Oja und: Das Bild links ist übrigens die Originalgrössedicke. 6cm.

Die Rede ist von der aktuellen, 2. Ausgabe von „Ubuntu GNU/Linux“. Damit sollten wir nun ausgerüstet sein.

Steht von der Installation, Konfiguration, Administration wirklich alles drin. Selbst 3D beschleunigte X-Server wie XGL, Aiglx und Beryl werden behandelt. Auch die Migration von Windows zu Ubuntu wird besprochen, ebenso Netzwerktechnik und Sicherheit kommen nicht zu kurz.

Ein exzellentes Buch – nur der Lieferzeitpunkt ist ungünstig. Ich habe momentan 1. einen Vortrag für eine Abschlussarbeit (SVA) vorzubereiten und 2. gerade kein Ubuntu in der Nähe.

Deshalb: Will es jemand ausleihen?
