Bei dem Tempo, wo neue Filme erscheinen, denke ich manchmal, dass das Fass der Geschichten bald leergeschöpft sein wird. Ja, was will man denn noch gross verfilmen, neben all den Anti-Terror-, Helden- und Weltverschwörungsfilmen, billigen Komödien und Filmen mit so hingeklatschten Stories?
Shawn Levy beweist mit „Nachts im Museum“, dass auch noch in heutiger Zeit grossartige Geschichten grossartig verfilmt werden können.
Mich jedenfalls hat „Nachts im Museum“ voll überzeugt. Endlich wieder eine Komödie mit Niveau. Das lässt sich ein Nachtwächter wohl nicht träumen, was in einem Museum so alles ausgestellt ist – und auf geheimnisvolle Weise zum Leben erwacht…
Jedes „Ausstellungsobjekt“ hat eine Geschichte, einen Charakter. Und da viele verschiedene Sachen ausgestellt sind, kann es in diesem Museum manchmal ganz schön bunt zu und hergehen. Der Nachtwächter Larry hat dabei die Aufgabe, die verschiedenen Ausstellungsobjekte untereinander zu versöhnen, um dann das Grande Finale gemeinsam zu überstehen…
Dabei werden kleine Geschichten und Sketches witzig und ohne zu übertreiben rübergebracht.
Ein Film, der ganz nach den guten alten Rezepten des „wie macht man einen guten Film“-Lehrbuchs geschmiedet ist: Die Story ist schwer vorhersehbar, stilvoller Humor, Emotionen spielen mit, und ja – Happy End!
Endlich wieder mal eine Perle im Brei vom grossen Kommerzschrott – mein Oskar hat er verdient, ein Kultfilm!

ich war jetzt nicht gerade so übermässig begeistert wie Du, aber Night at the Museum hat mir auch gut gefallen. Vor allem der „kleine“ Owen Wilson war zum Totlachen.
