Während den letzten Tagen habe ich ein wenig an Erkältung gelitten. Tonnenweise Halsfeger gekauft, hat trotzdem nicht viel gebracht. Bis ich heute zufällig auf das beste Mittel gegen Erkältung gestossen bin…

Mittagszeit, anstehen in der Kantine. Das Selbstwahlmenü sieht nicht gerade sehr überzeugend aus, ich entschied mich für das Wochenmenü; Reis, asiatische Gemüse und Fleischkugeln. Der Koch griff mit der Zange in einen Topf voller Pfefferschoten: „Möchten sie auch eine solche?“ „Jaja, gerne!“, antwortete ich gedankenverloren.

Später beim Essen schnitt ich mir ein ordentliches, mundgerechtes Stück von dieser Schote ab, ohne mir speziell dabei etwas zu denken. Im Hinterkopf dachte ich mir, dass dies wohl eh kein echt scharfes Teil sein könnte sondern mehr als Dekoration gedacht ist; wir sind schliesslich in einem Coop Restaurant…

Ha, falsch gedacht! Nach wenigen Sekunden kauen fiel mir eine leichte Schärfe auf, die mit dem Kauen stetig zunahm, als ob jemand einen Volume-Knopf langsam aufdrehen würde.
Ich nahm schnell etwas von dem lauwarmen Gemüse hinzu, um die Schärfe ein wenig abklingen zu lassen. Doch diese Wärme wurde durch die Schärfe auf ein vielfaches Multipliziert – Scheisse, der Koch muss das Gemüse wohl mit etwas Salzsäure angedünstet haben!
Es brannte was das Zeug hält. Mit tränenden Augen griff ich zum Cola, welches natürlich mit Kohlensäure angereichert war.

Nach drei Minuten liess der Schmerz etwas nach. Puh, das war intensiv – aber hat irgendwie gutgetan! Die Schärfe muss sämtliche Schnupfbakterien zum Teufel gejagt haben, denn seit diesem Essen habe ich weder eine verstopfte Nase noch irgendwelche Halsschmerzen.

Das gefällt mir. Schnupfen weg mit so einem simplen Naturheilmittel! Wenn auch nicht ganz angenehm in der Anwendung… 😉
