YEAAHHH!!! Geschafft! Jetzt bin ich Gleitschirmpilot.

Es ist eine Zeit lang her seit dem ersten Höhenflug ([Link])
Wochenende für Wochenende wurden Starts, Landungen, Kurven, Kreise, Ohren anlegen, B-Stall, Steilspiralen, Wingover, Delphinübungen, Prüfungskreise und Ziellandungen geübt. Und: Es hat sich gelohnt!
Mit dem habe ich an Ostern nicht gerechnet – 138 Tage später halte ich das Brevet in der Hand! Klar, dass ich stolz darauf bin. 138 Tage – heute ist der 13.8. übrigens 😉
Ausserdem ist 13 ab sofort eine Glückszahl.

Der Tag begann nicht so gut, wie er endete. Es ist die Ungewissheit, die mich plagte. Ungewissheit, ob man besteht oder durchfällt. Unruhig wälzt man sich im Bett – heute zählts; heute kommt’s draufan! Hinzu kommt noch die Tatsache, dass ich seit drei Wochen nicht zum Fliegen gekommen bin – ich muss also blind das Prüfungsprogramm vorzeigen können, und es muss auf Teufel komm raus klappen!

Dabei war das Wetter ideal für eine Prüfung: Wolkenverhangen, trüb, jedoch trocken präsentierte sich heute der Vierwaldstättersee von Emmetten aus. Gut, denn wenn die Sonne den Boden nicht aufheizen kann, entsteht keine Thermik, d.h. auch keine Turbulenzen.

Es geht los. Final Tier: Examination Program…
Start, Landung und Flugfigur der beiden Prüfungsflüge verliefen problemlos. Der Landeplatz ist nicht gerade gross, und von Häusern umgeben (was ich im übrigen hasse; erstens entstehen mechanische Turbulenzen, zweitens sehen die Häuser immer so nah aus – obwohl man noch sehr hoch ist). Prompt war ich etwas zu hoch beim ersten Landeanflug. Nein, heute lasse ich keine Aussenlandung zu, also schnell die Löffel rein und runter – schwupp! Gerade noch geschafft. „Guet gsi“ meinte der Experte.
Die zweite Landung war dann perfekt. Während ich im Abbauraum kreiste, dachte ich: „Ui, in 3 Minuten erfährst du, ob du bestanden hast oder nicht“… Ich steuerte direkt auf die beiden Fähnchen zu, die die Mitte des Zielkreises markierten.

Und dann kam er, der grosse Moment der Entscheidung. „So Mister“, meinte der Experte. „Und? Wie sieht’s aus?“ Ich war mir sicher, dass alles gut geklappt hat. Ich wartete sehnsüchtig auf die Antwort. „Gratuliere, du hast bestanden!“ und drückte einen fetten roten Stempel in mein Flugbuch.

*BAM* – Mir fiel ein Stein vom Herzen. Aaaah, tut das gut! Jetzt öffnen sich viele Tore zu neuen Freiheiten! Jetzt hab ich’s hinter mir! Jetzt bin ich also Pilot.

Auf nach Balsthal! Diese Neuigkeit muss schnellstens verbreitet werden! Zum Glück hatte ich heute ein Taxi. Meine Eltern kutschierten Yves nach Balsthal und mich nach Emmetten und zurück.
Die Balsthaler flogen heute aber an der Walenmatt – dem Gebiet, an dem ich Kontakte mit einer Tanne knüpfte. [Link]
Dort angekommen, wurde ich von allen herzlich empfangen, mit Gratulationen und Glückwünschen. War ja nicht anders zu erwarten…

Es ist noch etwas Zeit… Also nichts wie rauf! Ich hatte das dringende Bedürfnis, meine neue Freiheit zu schnuppern, und Ernst nahm meine Mutter zu Ihrer grossen Überraschung auf einen Passagierflug mit, was Ihr natürlich total gefiel!

Der Tag ist wirklich gerettet. Herzlichen Dank an alle, die mir während dieser Zeit die Daumen gedrückt haben!
