So, so die Cablecom also

Nach diesem Wochenende läuft jetzt endlich auch mein Internetanschluss. Zwar musste ich hart darum kämpfen:
-Die Cablecom hat es nicht vollbracht mir 2 Kopien den Vertrags zu schicken und die die ich bekam war nicht nur unleserlich sondern nach einer Testkopie von meiner Seite aus erst recht nicht mehr zu erkennen. Was macht man also man ruft der Cablecom an… Zuerst hiess es „Oh…. Entschuldigung da kann ich ihnen leider nicht weiter helfen. Ich arbeite zwar im Administrationsbereich durch nur für Neuanmeldungen…“
Ok ok der nette Onkel von der Cablecom gab mir eine weitere Nummer an auf der ich anrufen sollte….????
Hä??? Wie bitte ihnen ist es nicht möglich mich umzuleiten???? Und das bei einer Frima die auch Telefonielösungen anbietet???
Naja egal….
Nummer gewählt…. Ring, Ring…. „Guten Tag mein Name ist XXX wie kann ich ihnen weiter helfen?“ Erklärung von meiner Seite… „Kann ich bitte mal ihr PLZ haben???“ „4055. Wieso?“ „Ah ja das ist Basel da müssen sie woanders anrufen.?“ Ich dann schon leicht entnervt „Ok dann leiten sie mich doch bitte gleich um“ „Dies ist nicht möglich ich gebe ihnen die Nummer….“

Ja ja die liebe Cablecom

Der dritte Mitarbeiter hat mir dann versprochen er würde mir einen weitere Kopie zusenden….
Bis heute ist noch nichts angekommen.

-Das Cablecom-Modem
Bevor ich überhaupt irgendwo unterschrieben habe kam das Modem an. Ja sehr schön eine silberne Plastikbox mit jeweils einem Rj45-Anschluss, USB-Anschluss und natürlich für das Netzteil noch einen. Schön und gut. Also Modem eingesteckt. Software eingelegt…. Problem ich benötige meine Erkennungsnummer… Ah ja… Auf dem beigelegten Brief ist diese nicht zu finden. Also was macht man . Man telefoniert mit den Supportern von der Cablecom… Dieser erklärt einem dann das diese Erkennungsnummer mit einem seperaten Brief zugesendet wird. „Ähm… ja und wo ist dieser Brief zu finden?“ Soll das jetzt heissen ich kann nicht ins Internet wegen eine solchen Lapalie??? Nein, Nein dies war glücklicherweise nicht der Fall den dann hätte ich dem netten Onkel von der Cablecom Basel angerufen und ihm erklären müssen, dass ich der Cablecom alles zurück schicken werde und keinen Rappen zahle.

Ja, ja und weiter ging das Theater

-Der Internetanschluss oder Cablecom-Modem die Zweite

Und was geschah. Ich war im Internet… jedenfalls mit dem Laptop. Ok ich hatte keine 20m langes Netzwerkkabel für ins Schlafzimmer. Der Ort an dem mein Desktop steht. Zum Glück kam Lauper vorbei und brachte einen Switch mit. Zack Zack… Mein Laptop sein Laptop und mein Desktop waren angeschlossen… Doch was war das. Lauper und meine Freundin, die unterdessen den Laptop beanspruchte, kamen ins Internet doch meine Kiste wollte partout nicht… Was macht man unter Windows als erstes… Genau Neustarten….

Ok ok so blöd kann ich ja nicht sein. Und nein Claude auch mit einem Mac würde es nicht laufen bald wirst du sehen warum….

Also nachdem ich mich im gesamten zirka 12 Stunden mit dem Problem auseinander gesetzt habe, rief ich dem netten Onkel vom Cablecomsupport an. Lauper war zu diesem Zeitpunkt schon lange wieder gegangen…

Von ihm hiess es nur „Stecken sie das Cablecom-Modem aus, warten sie eine Minute und stecken sie es wieder ein…“

Woran lags???
Klar das Cablecommodem merkt sich 2 und nur 2 Mac-Addressen… Alle anderen werden gesperrt….
traurig aber wahr. Da mein Laptop als erste dran war reservierte er sich die erste und dummerweise hat sich Lauper zu erst am Netzwerk angemeldet und hatte automatisch die 2.
Nachdem „Neustart des Modems“ wurden diese einstellungen gelöscht.(ist da windows drauf??)

Tja ja…
Ich rufe jetzt dem „netten“ Onkel von der Cablecom/Balcab-Administration-Basel an und frage ihn wo meine Kopie der Vertrags bleibt.
