Sonnenschein den ganzen Tag, leichter Talwind – optimale Flugbedingungen! Heute standen Wingovers auf dem Programm.
Wingover:
Auch Rollen genannt. Ein Wingover ist gemeint, wenn man den Schirm abwechselnd rechts und links auf über 90° Querlage aufschaukelt. Dies geschieht durch Bremseinsatz, Gewichtsverlagerung und dem Stützen der jeweils entlastungsgefährdeten Schirmhälfte. Hierbei ist die Gefahr von Seitenklappern mit anschließenden Verhängern nicht zu unterschätzen. Also eine nicht ganz einfache, dafür aber dynamische Flugfigur, die einen Höllenspaß machen kann.
Und wie es Spass macht! Wie auf einer Riesenschaukel, einfach 400m über dem Boden ;->

Achterbahnfahren und dabei die Strecke selber bestimmen! Ich habe den Schirm allerdings noch nicht bis 90° aufgeschaukelt, es hatte teilweise recht viel Wind, und da wollte ich nichts riskieren…

Insgesamt vier Höhenflüge konnte ich heute machen. Mit dem Ersten zählt mein Flugbuch nun fünf insgesamt. Fünf Höhenflüge – fünf Ziellandungen – kick ass! (Ziellandung: Eine Landung innerhalb des 30m Zielkreises).
Mein Gleiter sieht jetzt aber nicht mehr genau so aus wie abgebildet; In der Flugschule wurde uns nach dem Fliegen die SHV-Nummer in riesigen, hässlichen schwarzen Ziffern auf den Flügel montiert! Wie bei den Autonummern, Pflicht halt wegen der Versicherung etc. Meine SHV-Nr. lautet übrigens 40507.
