Nachdem diesmal „Amazon“ der Geheimniskrämerei von Apple einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht hat und die getunten Modelle schon vor der offiziellen Lancierung präsentierte, hat Apple gestern, Mittwoch, die leistungsgesteigerten G5-Modelle auch selber vorgestellt.
Die neuen Power Mac G5 haben 64-Bit-Prozessoren mit bis zu 2,7 GHz an Bord und werden mit dem Mac OS X 10.4Tigerausgestattet. So soll die neue Power Mac G5-Linie höchste Leistung für Anwender bieten, die mit rechen- und bandbreitenintensiven Anwendungen arbeiten. Die G5-Serie verfügt auch über grössere Festplatten, ein 16x-Super-Drive mit Double-Layer-Unterstützung und 512 MB Arbeitsspeicher.
