Zufällig bin ich auf dieses kleine Programm gestossen.
An dem habe ich Freude. Es lassen sich damit verschiedene Modelle in unserem Leben simulieren – etwa die Ausbreitung des Aids Virus, oder die Kristallisation von bestimmten Molekülen, oder wieviele Leute an einer Party wie schnell glücklich werden. Das ganze mit zahlreichen Grafiken und Statistiken.
Obwohl ein Wissenschaftlicher Aspekt dahinter steckt: Es macht unglaublich Spass, zuzusehen, wie schnell sich das Aids-Virus ausbreitet, oder wie schnell irgendwelche Viren mutieren. Auch Staus lassen sich erzeugen, oder Hirten, die Schäfchen zu einer Herde sammeln müssen. Stundenlang bin ich schon am Experimentieren. Was wäre, wenn die Fläche grösser ist? Wenn es mehr Schafe gibt? Oder beim Aids-Modell: verändern wir doch mal die „Average-Condom-Use“ und schauen, was passiert…
