Jawohl, richtig geraten: Heute war der erste Tag meiner zweiwöchigen Stage an der Kasse – puh, was für ein Stress! Da kommen Kunden am Laufmeter, man hat gar keine Zeit für Verschnaufpausen!
So ein Einsatz fordert geistige Präsenz und Konzentration. Mein Kopf wurde nach 10 Minuten richtig warm. Es ist wie ein Rauschzustand: Warentrennstab nehmen, Artikel scannen, Subtotal-Taste, Supercard scannen, Geld entgegennehmen, Bar-Taste, Retourgeld geben, Geld einsortieren, nächster Kunde. Man sieht nichts mehr anderes als EAN-Strichcodes, Geld, Supercards und das Piepen des Scanners hämmert andauernd im Kopf. Nebst all dem noch freundlich „Grüezi“ und „Adjeu“ zu sagen ist schon eine kleine Herausforderung…
Es ist nicht gerade leicht, von Anfang bis zum Ende immer gleich sorgfältig zu Kassieren… Aber mit der Zeit wird alles Routine. Das einzig Mühsame daran sind die PLU-Nummern, Kurzcodes für Artikel ohne Strichcode, wie z.B. Gipfeli & Faschtewaie. Wenn man die nicht auswendig kennt, vergeht jedesmal eine gewisse Zeit, bis ich den Artikel im PLU-Ständer neben der Kasse gefunden habe…
Der erste Tag einer harten Zeit ist jedenfalls gut überstanden. Und am Freitag ist zum Glück die Hälfte schon vorbei!
Wer unbedingt mal vorbeikommen möchte: Woche 8 & 9, jeweils am Donnerstag & Freitag, 8:00 – 13:00 und 14:00 – 17:00 @ Coop Gundeli in Basel.
