Kurz darauf ging Bill gleich offline, weil er es nicht ertragen konnte, dass Macs einfach BESSER sind als Windows. Tsstss… wer sich nicht mit Apple befassen will, hat auch keine Ahnung davon. Obwohl es so einfach wäre.
Aber bitte, wer sich in diesem beschränkten Windows-Kindergarten wohl fühlt, soll dort bleiben. ICH jedenfall garantiert nicht. Ich habe Bock auf etwas neues. Etwas schönes, leistungsfähiges, modernes. Mir sind die lästigen Konfigurationsarbeiten, Bluescreens, Datenverluste, Sicherheitslöcher, Spyware, Viren leid, die mich bei meiner Arbeit behindern. Ich will ein System, das auf Unix basiert und dementsprechend auch so stabil ist, und so einfach zu bedienen ist wie Windows.
OSX erfüllt diese Anforderungen. Und ausserdem sieht es verdammt schön aus, und es macht Spass, damit zu arbeiten. Nicht zuletzt auch dank Exposé und diesen genialen Apple-Technologien.
Linux-Programme laufen auf OSX. Bash, grep, man, ls… alles Befehle, die ein moderner Mac kennt! SSH, Apache & Co. sind standardmässig dabei. Aber man kann auch nur einen Text schreiben. Ganz einfach.
Mächtige Apple-Technologien wie Spotlight und Automator werden in Zukunft mein Begleiter sein. Mein Mac ist bereit für HD Videoschnitt. GarageBand ist um längen besser als Musicmaker.
Wenn ich wollte, könnte ich alle Windows-Versionen, die jemals erschienen sind, gleichzeitig laufenlassen.
Ich ändere mein Statement: Apple ist Windows nicht nur um 2 Jahre, sondern um 4 Jahre und mehr voraus. Mir graut vor Longhorn und all dem TCPA-Scheiss. Darum muss ich mir aber keine Sorgen mehr machen, denn:
