Unit tests

Einfache Fragen, jeden Tag auf einer Skala notiert. Mental health monitoring.

• Traurigkeit
• Motivationslosigkeit
• Zurückweisung
• Wertlosigkeit

Jeden Tag bei jedem Messwert eine Zahl von 1 – 10 eintragen. Jetzt sind die Werte messbar. Man muss auch nicht jeden Tag testen. Falls man aber wieder einen schlechten Tag hat – Testsuite laufen lassen. Es stellt sich heraus, dass die Werte gar nicht so schlimm sind, wie sie sich anfühlen, und es alles in allem gar nicht so ein schlechter Tag war.

Spezifikation

Was will ich erreichen in

• meinem Leben?
• in vier Jahren?
• in einem Jahr?
• in drei Monaten?
• in einem Monat?

Eine Technik, sich Ziele zu setzen, und dann sehen, wenn man etwas erreicht hat. Oder noch nicht erreicht hat.

Gedankenlogger

Alle Gedanken aufschreiben. Die können später nach Schlüsselwörtern analysiert werden.

Binäres Denken

Ein paar Beispiele:

• Ich bin nicht schön, also muss ich hässlich sein
• Wenn mein Programm nicht funktioniert, ist es kaputt
• Wenn ich meine Ziele nicht erreiche, habe ich versagt
• Wenn ich einen Fehler mache, habe ich versagt

Gedankenlog nach folgenden Schlüsselwörtern durchsuchen: Kann nicht, versagt, kaputt, fehlgeschlagen, unfähig.

Binär. 0 oder 1. An oder aus. Hell oder Dunkel. Stellen wir uns diese Messwerte als Pixel auf einem Bildschirm vor.
Das Problem hierbei ist: Sind alle Pixel schwarz, ist der ganze Bildschirm dunkel.
Nächster Schritt: Graustufen. Farben. Etwas funktioniert besser, ein Fehler ist nicht so schwerwiegend. Grün, rot, grau. Weisse Bildschirme (totaler, kompletter Erfolg auf allen Ebenen) gibt es nicht. Schwarze Bildschirme sind extrem zerschmetternd. Farbige Bildschirme sind toll.

Endlosschleifen

„Ich werde es nie verstehen.“ „Es läuft immer alles schief.“ Gedankenlog nach folgenden Schlüsselwörtern durchsuchen: Nie, immer, ständig.

Lazy Evaluation

Kopfkino, „was wäre wenn?“. Evaluation von Variablen in der Zukunft. Verdammt ressourcenfressend.
Zukünftige Ereignisse erst auswerten, wenn sie stattgefunden haben.
