Die Stufen des Moralbewusstseins

Präkonventionelle Ebene

Diese Ebene entspricht dem Niveau der meisten Kinder bis zum neunten Lebensjahr, einiger Jugendlicher und vieler jugendlicher und erwachsener Straftäter. Auf dieser Ebene erlebt das Kind zum ersten Mal, dass es auch andere Sichtweisen neben der eigenen geben kann, die Autoritätspersonen sind jedoch weiterhin die Vorbilder.

1. Stufe – Orientierung an Strafe und Gehorsam

Entscheidungsfindung: „Was ist das beste für mich?“, ohne Rücksicht auf die Bedürfnisse anderer. Regeln, die von mächtigeren Individuen aufgestellt wurden, werden blind befolgt – oder auch nicht, wenn keine Gefahr besteht, erwischt zu werden. „Falsch“ ist, was bestraft wird.

2. Stufe – instrumentell-relativistische Orientierung

Menschliche Beziehungen werden vergleichbar mit der Austauschbeziehung des Marktes verstanden. Sie orientieren ihr Verhalten an dieser Gegenseitigkeit, reagieren kooperativ auf kooperatives Verhalten, üben Rache für ihnen zugefügtes Leid („Wie du mir, so ich dir“). „Richtig“ und „Falsch“ wird daran definiert, was für Konsequenzen es für sich persönlich hat.

Konventionelle Ebene

Dieser Ebene sind der Großteil der Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen zuzuordnen.

3. Stufe – Die „good boy/nice girl“-Orientierung

Entscheidungsfindung: „Was gefällt den anderen?“ – die anderen sind z.B. besonders einflussreiche Authoritätspersonen oder Menschen mit hohem Rang und Status. Entscheidungen werden daran gefällt, was dem Ansehen nützt; die Ansichten anderer Menschen werden in die Entscheidungsfindung mit einbezogen.

4. Stufe – Orientierung an Gesetz und Ordnung

Die Gesellschaft wird als ganzes gesehen, Regeln und Gesetze werden befolgt, weil es die „Pflicht“ ist, ihnen zu gehorchen, für das friedliche Fortbestehen der Gesellschaft. Gesetze sind in Stein gemeisselt, es wird noch nicht wahrgenommen, dass wenn die Gesellschaft sich ändert, sich die Gesetze ebenfalls ändern sollten.

Postkonventionelle Ebene

Nur eine Minderheit von Erwachsenen erreicht diese Ebene, meistens erst nach dem 20. Lebensjahr.

5. Stufe – legalistische Orientierung am Sozialvertrag

Regeln werden als Vereinbarung zwischen vielen Individuen gesehen, als mögliche nützliche Mechanismen, um die Ordnung zu wahren und die individuellen Rechte zu schützen. Diese Regeln sind nicht in Stein gemeisselt, können auch geändert werden, wenn sie nicht mehr zur Gesellschaft passen.

6. Stufe – Orientierung an universalen ethischen Prinzipien

Hypothetische Stufe, ein „Ideal“, welches die wenigsten Menschen jemals erreichen. Menschen auf dieser Stufe stehen zu wenigen, universelle Prinzipien, wie z.B. Gleicheit, Respekt für die menschliche Würde, einstehen für Gerechtigkeit. Diese Prinzipien transzendieren die spezifischen Normen und Regeln. Diese Menschen folgen einem starken inneren Gewissen und missachten Gesetze willentlich, die nicht im Einklang mit ihren ethischen Prinzipien stehen.

Na DAS erklärt ja einiges! Ich wusste gar nicht, dass es unterschiedliche Stufen des moralischen Bewusstseins gibt. Bisher dachte ich, das entwickelt sich bei jedem Menschen gleich, und nimmt mit der Lebenserfahrung zu. Wie Naiv von mir. Aber eigentlich habe ich mir dazu auch noch keine grossen Gedanken gemacht.

Es wird nicht hinterfragt, ob das, was geschrieben ist, vielleicht einen Nutzen oder etwas Gutes haben könnte. Wenn das Gesetz sagt, es sei illegal, dann ist es so.

Moralbewusstsein Stufe 3, gutes Ansehen bei einflussreichen Personen.

Nope, ich werde natürlich „Anarchie“ weiterhin bei den Interessen in meinem CV angeben, weil es mich interessiert und weil Anarchie etwas Gutes ist.

Der Tipp mit dem CV ist zwar ein gutes Beispiel, aber ich hätte ihn am liebsten nicht hingeschrieben, weil der von einem Menschen kam, den ich sehr mag, und ich ihm da nicht zu Nahe treten möchte. Er hat es ja gut gemeint. Und moralisches Bewusstsein entwickelt sich. Junge Menschen dürfen auf den mittleren Stufen agieren, müssen sie ja auch; jeder durchläuft sie. Aber mein ehemaliger Scheff ist ein alter Sack mit eigentlich viel Lebenserfahrung, da gibt es kein Pardon. Es wundert mich, dass er immer noch auf Stufe 3 steckt. Und da ist er leider nicht der einzige. Die meisten Menschen bewegen sich auf der konventionellen Ebene. Warum ist das so? Warum entwickelt sich die Moral nicht weiter?

Schliessen sich „Business“ und Moral gegenseitig aus?
Mir scheint so.

Ist es nicht erstrebenswert, eine möglichst hohe Stufe in der moralischen Entwicklung zu erreichen?

Und dann noch etwas.

„Schreibereien“

Die Kinder des Staats. Der Schiffbruch. Das Steuersystem als Massenlenkwaffe. Valentinstag. 29C3: Not my department. Der 10 Punkteplan für das Handeln. Die Wirtschaftszombieapokalypse. Anarchie. Und noch viel mehr. Auf einmal macht alles Sinn. Das sind gar keine „Schreibereien“ und seltsamen Dinge, was ich hier schreibe. Unter diesem Licht betrachtet sieht plötzlich alles ganz toll aus! Alles was ich geschrieben habe. Manchmal habe ich mir ein schlechtes Gewissen gemacht, dass ich damit wohl einigen ans Bein pissen werde. Aber die Absicht ist eine Gute. Mein Moralbewusstsein, ethische Prinzipien, Werte. Etwas Gutes in die Welt bringen, das Kaputte reparieren. Die Leute, die sich daran stören, sind einfach noch nicht auf der moralischen Stufe, um das zu verstehen. Tja, klingt hart. Arbeitet an eurem moralischen Bewusstsein!

Das gibt mir jetzt Rückenwind. Ich muss kein schlechtes Gewissen mehr haben, was ich hier schreibe. Es sind alles Dinge, die mit meinen Werten übereinstimmen. Hach, manchmal tut so eine Skala doch ganz gut. Danke, liebes Internet! So verstehe ich mich und die Leute um mich herum besser. Dabei geht es nicht ums werten, sondern ums einordnen können.

Allerdings, wie schon so oft: Ich stosse auf eine Skala, ein Raster, und stelle fest: Von meiner Sorte gibt es die wenigsten.

Gibt es denn gar niemanden, der auch so ist wie ich? “Hallo!”, rufe ich in den Raum. Doch nur der fahle Widerhall meines eigenen Echos hallt von den Wänden. Ich bin der einzige, der so ist und solche Dinge tut.
