Who else feels like they’re an eternal child?

Yup. I’m a child. My husband is too. Thankfully we can both be a bunch of crazy ADHD children together.
We were pouring beer at brew fest a few months ago outdoors while it was raining. My husband started jumping in the puddles forming in front of us and some dude says

My sentiments exactly. I’d rather be crazy and fun than the boring old guy at a beer fest who can’t even enjoy splashing in the rain. Can’t imagine a life so boring and stiff. Curious childlike wonder is what makes my husband the creative brewer that he is and me the designer. It might be hard for us to „adult“ and be responsible sometimes, but atleast we can have fun and enjoy life fully.

Der Sabotageakt in New Jersey ist nach Delbridges Meinung von einem Mann namens Emerson ausgeführt worden. Emerson war Programmierer der Regierung, Chef eines geheimen KI-Projekts – bis er sich auf die Seite der Technologiegegner gestellt hat und untergetaucht ist. Jetzt ist er offenbar die heimliche Leitfigur der Ludditenbewegung.

Glaubt man Delbridge, dann geht es Emerson keineswegs um die Zerstörung der freien Kommunikation. Er behauptet, wir alle würden ständig und überall lückenlos abgehört und überwacht. Von wem? Na, von der Regierung natürlich.

Es ist absurd. Ich fragte Delbridge, was denn seiner Meinung nach mit all den gesammelten Informationen geschehe. Wen der gesammelte Small-Talk, den die Leute in ihre Messenger brabbeln, so dringend interessieren könnte.

Das wusste er auch nicht.
Natürlich nicht.
Er meinte aber, dass immer wieder Menschen ohne Spur verschwänden, vor allem Personen, die sich als Wissenschaftler oder Journalisten mit Recherchen über Abhörmethoden herausgefunden hätten.

Na, wenn das stimmen würde, wäre ich jetzt mit Sicherheit schon in grossen Schwierigkeiten, oder? Ich fürchte, ich habe einem Irren meinen Vorschuss gegeben.

Und bin so klug wie vorher. Ich Idiot.

Ich habe gerade noch mal den Folder des Ministeriums für Informationssicherheit und Bürgerrechte gelesen, vor allem das öffentliche Memorandum zu den geplanten Kryptographiegesetzen. Dies ist der Ausschnitt, den ich mir ausgedruckt habe:

Die vergangenen Epochen haben uns gezeigt, dass es drei Dinge sind, die für eine freie Informationsgesellschaft eine fundamentale Bedrohung darstellen:

Das Verbot, das Monopol, und das Vergessen.

Das Verbot von Informationen hat Unrechtsregimen zur Macht verholfen und sie am Leben erhalten; die Monopolisierung von Information hat Kriege der Wissenslosen gegen die Wissenden entfesselt; und das Vergessen hat uns viele schreckliche Fehler der Vergangenheit wiederholen, und die Gestaltung einer freien Welt in immer wieder die gleiche, scheinbar unerreichbare Ferne rücken lassen.

Mit der Vorlage des Entwurfs zu den Kryptographiegesetzen wird das Ministerium für Informationssicherheit und Bürgerrechte erstmals in der Geschichte unseres Planeten umfassende und wirksame Vorkehrungen treffen, die Freiheit der elektronischen Informationen zu schützen – aus der tiefen Überzeugung, dass diese Freiheit das Fundament einer Welt in Frieden und Wohlstand ist.

Unterstützen Sie uns. Setzen Sie sich ein für ein endgültiges Verbot von Verschlüsselungstechniken. Stimmen Sie am 28.11.2044 für den Gesetzesentwurf. Freuen wir uns gemeinsam auf eine Welt, in der die Gedanken wirklich frei sind.

Demokratie in Aktion. Man misinformiert die grosse Masse und streut Angst und Falschinformationen. Dann lässt man sie an der Urne abstimmen. Heraus kommt das:

Und das nennen sie „Demokratie“. Auch eine Form von Diktatur; eine Informationsdiktatur. Man manipuliert die ignorante und uninformierte Schafherde auf die gewünschte Entscheidung hin, bis sie so abstimmt, wie die Herrschaften das wollen. Manchmal funktioniert es, manchmal nicht. Bei Brexit hat es nicht funktioniert. Beim dummen Schweizer Heti und Pleti aber schon. Wie kann man nur dafür sein, dass einem Rechte genommen werden?
